Publication number: 20240068135Abstract: Interlacing equipment may be used to form fabric and to create a gap in the fabric. The fabric may include one or more conductive strands. An insertion tool may be used to align an electrical component with the conductive strands during interlacing operations. A soldering tool may be used to remove insulation from the conductive strands to expose conductive segments on the conductive strands. The soldering tool may be used to solder the conductive segments to the electrical component. The solder connections may be located in grooves in the electrical component. An encapsulation tool may dispense encapsulation material in the grooves to encapsulate the solder connections. After the electrical component is electrically connected to the conductive strands, the insertion tool may position and release the electrical component in the gap. A component retention tool may temporarily be used to retain the electrical component in the gap as interlacing operations continue.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 8, 2023Publication date: February 29, 2024Inventors: Kyle L. Chatham, Kathryn P. Crews, Didio V. Gomes, Benjamin J. Grena, Storrs T. Hoen, Steven J. Keating, David M. Kindlon, Daniel A. Podhajny, Andrew L. Rosenberg, Daniel D. Sunshine, Lia M. Patent number: 9981610Abstract: This envelope is an automobile accessory adapted to fit between the center console of an automobile and either the driver's seat or the passenger's seat, to catch items that fall in the space between the seat and the console. The sides of this envelope are made of flexible polymeric material that allows it to compress to fit in this space. The resilient force generated as the sides of the envelope seek to return to their uncompressed shape holds the envelope fairly securely in the space. Yet a user is able to slide the envelope into and out of the space easily. The envelope can be used to store items as well as to catch dropped ones.Type: GrantFiled: July 30, 2014Date of Patent: May 29, 2018Assignee: Threeman LLCInventor: Daniel Robins

Patent number: 7055393Abstract: There is provided a blind fastener setting tool (12) which has a front end face (218) against which a blind fastener (14) is held during a conventional setting operation and which further has a piezo-electric thin film load measuring device (222) mounted on this front face so as to be disposed and compressed between the front face (218) and a flange (122) of the fastener (14) during the setting operation so as to record a low voltage electrical signal indicative of the load being exerted thereon. There is further provided a method of measuring such load during the setting of a blind fastener by positioning a piezo-electric thin film load measuring device between a setting tool and a fastener and subsequently measuring a low voltage signal created as a result of deformation of the piezo-electric thin film during the setting operation and analysing this signal as indicative of the load exerted on the fastener.Type: GrantFiled: July 14, 2003Date of Patent: June 6, 2006Assignee: Newfrey LLCInventor: Daniel Robin Smith
