Publication number: 20240120873Abstract: A roof integrated solar power system includes a plurality of solar modules. Each solar module carries a photovoltaic or solar panel with solar cells. Edge regions of the solar module are disposed to the sides of the solar panel and are devoid of solar cells. An electrical component such as a junction box or micro-inverter, or DC optimizer is mounted on top of the solar module within at least one of the edge regions. Cabling for interconnecting the electrical component to electrical components of others of the plurality of solar modules also is located within the side regions. In one embodiment, the electrical component and cabling is disposed within a recess within a side region and covered by a flat access panel. In another embodiment, the electrical component and cabling is located atop the side region and is covered by an access panel in the form of a protective cover strip.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 20, 2023Publication date: April 11, 2024Inventors: Tommy F. Publication number: 20240112370Abstract: Embodiments provide image display systems and methods for a camera calibration using a two-sided diffractive optical element (DOE). More specifically, embodiments are directed to determining intrinsic parameters of a camera using a single image obtained using a two-sided DOE. The two-sided DOE has a first pattern on a first surface and a second pattern on a second surface. Each of the first and second patterns may be formed by repeating sub-patterns that are lined when tiled on each surface. The patterns on the two-sided DOE are formed such that the brightness of the central intensity peak on the image of the image pattern formed by the DOE is reduced to a predetermined amount.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 6, 2023Publication date: April 4, 2024Applicant: Magic Leap, Inc.Inventors: Zhiheng Jia, Etienne Gregoire Grossmann, Hao Zheng, Daniel Roger Dominguez, Robert D. Publication number: 20240098121Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for allowing remote participation in collaborative video review based on joint state data, for a video collaboration session, maintained by a video collaboration service. A user at a participant client device may provide one or more annotations, such as a drawing annotation, for the video data via a client application. The client application transmits computer-readable instructions for re-creating the drawing annotation to the service, which distributes the drawing instructions to the other participant client devices. Using the drawing instructions, the client applications at the client devices are configured to re-create the drawing annotation on the associated video frame displayed at the client devices. The joint state data communicated to client devices for a given session may include co-presence data that efficiently increases communication among the participants in a session.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 17, 2023Publication date: March 21, 2024Inventors: Siya Yang, Alan Rogers, Daniel Wagner, Irene Ma, Jason Stakelon

Patent number: 11492087Abstract: A combined paddle and pump can be used to propel a small boat. The handle telescopes with a locking nut that may be loosened to allow extension and retraction of the handle. The handle is hollow throughout and a pair of check valves are provided. One check valve opens when the handle is extended and the other opens when the handle is retracted. When one check valve is open, the other is closed. When the distal end of the paddle is placed within a volume of water or exposed to atmospheric, extension and retraction of the handle results in a fluid first being sucked into the hollow interior of the handle and then propelled out of the handle. A seal assembly prevents debris from binding tubes of the handle.Type: GrantFiled: February 12, 2021Date of Patent: November 8, 2022Inventor: Daniel Roger Dufault
