  • Patent number: 10473645
Abstract: The present invention relates to a novel method for identifying pairs of receptors/ligands, transgenic animals useful for carrying out said method, and the use of ligands and/or modulators of the interaction between a ligand and its receptor in the food industry, fragrance industry, and health industry, for instance.

  • Publication number: 20180246743
Abstract: The present invention provides an embedded system for operating a peripheral, wherein said peripheral may be any electronically supported device, in particular a device that is operated by firmware. The embedded system is external to the peripheral and contains an interface for connection to the peripheral. Each of said external embedded systems comprises a dedicated communication module, which allows it to build up a network with one or more other embedded systems of the same type, in as far as such other systems are in reach to build up the network. The embedded system is configured to transmit and receive mobile software entities (MEs), each containing an own operating system (OS). As an advantage, the present invention provides a new model or platform enabling efficient dissemination of software and highly collaborative environments. The invention provides a powerful and permanent dissemination of complete execution environments over distributed platforms.

  • Publication number: 20060291413
Abstract: A computer-based system for dynamic assignment of carrier frequencies to computerized access points of a wireless local area network (WLA) is connected to the access points via a communication connection. Present operational values, such as the present number of associated users and the present number of received faulty and errorless data packets, are captured from the access points via the communication connection by autonomous agent modules of the computer-based system. In the computer-based system, individual weighting factors for the access points are calculated, based on the captured operational values. Access point data about the access points, which include present carrier frequencies and weighting factors, are stored in the computer-based system.
