    Abstract: A compression staple insertion kit includes first and second elongate handles, each including a handle arm having a proximal end and a distal end, distal from the proximal end. A boss extend is outwardly from the distal end. A central longitudinal axis extends between the arms. The handle arms are pivotally attached to each other at the distal ends at a pivot, which extends along the central longitudinal axis. A slider is slidingly attached to the handle. The slider is movable between a staple securing position at the distal end, wherein proximal ends are biased toward each other and a staple release position toward the proximal end, wherein the proximal ends are biased away from each other. A staple is disposed over the bosses.
