  • Patent number: 6807988
Abstract: A flexible hose adapted construction for conveying fluids under pressure. The construction includes a core tube having a circumferential inner core tube surface and an opposing circumferential outer core tube surface. A first reinforcement layer surrounds the outer core tube surface, and is formed of one or more filaments of a first fiber. A second fiber reinforcement layer surrounds the first reinforcement layer, and is formed of one or more filaments of a second fiber. The first and second reinforcement layers are bonded together by means of a bonding agent such as an adhesive, resin, plasticizer, tackifier, or solvent, the application of which is controlled to wet only a portion of the filaments of the reinforcement layers.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 8, 2002
Date of Patent: October 26, 2004
    Assignee: Parker-Hannifin Corporation
Inventors: Steven M. Powell, Michael R. Swails, William C. Fisher, Daniel S. Blasko
  • Patent number: 6776195
Abstract: Multi-layer tubular polymeric composite and to articles such as tubing and hoses constructed thereof. The composite is formed of a layer of a fluoropolymer material bonded directly to a second layer of a more general purpose resin material which may be a nylon or other polyamide.
