Publication number: 20260290014Abstract: A camera-resident edge processing architecture consumes kernel metadata events from a built-in sensor subsystem, extracts event-correlated keyframes, and prepares compressed payloads with region-focused and temporal tiling options for remote model analysis. Structured prompt payloads and image payloads are dispatched to remote artificial intelligence services through detached query threads with conditional escalation based on a first-pass gate outcome. Parsed response fields are normalized into structured response records with event classifications driving automated response execution, including external event publication and contextual local speech output. Feedback records from response processing update trigger criteria for later event qualification cycles, enabling iterative precision tuning across repeated monitoring operations while reducing unnecessary upstream transfer and high-cost remote processing.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 19, 2026Publication date: September 24, 2026Inventors: Ryan Wager, John B. Fowler, Matthew J. Ebben, Rhett R. Place, Daniel S. Davidson, Ryan J. Echols

Publication number: 20260290016Abstract: A system and method for generating and analyzing metadata from a live video stream. A smart camera captures the live video stream and an on-camera agentic application extracts keyframes, compresses the extracted keyframes, and transmits the compressed keyframes to an external artificial intelligence service via a network. The external artificial intelligence service returns structured responses representing characteristics of captured scenes. An infinite metadata generation module continuously generates metadata from the structured responses representing quantitative and qualitative attributes of the captured scenes. A serverless cloud backend receives, stores, and performs real-time analytics on the metadata. A dual-stage processing pipeline filters keyframes through a low-cost first stage before engaging advanced analysis upon satisfaction of a predefined condition. A user interface module routes real-time queries to the on-camera agentic application and analytical queries to the serverless cloud backend.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 19, 2026Publication date: September 24, 2026Inventors: Ryan Wager, John B. Patent number: 12524186Abstract: Systems of the present disclosure can provide a head-mountable device with interface elements to provide output of adjusted visual content. The head-mountable device and/or another electronic device can be operated to detect features of a user and/or features of the head-mountable device to determine alignment data corresponding to the alignment of the eyes with the displays. The head-mountable device and/or the other electronic device can be operated to determine adjustment data that indicates whether the user's perception of the visual content will differ between the fields of view of the eyes. The adjustment data can further indicate how output of the visual content can be adjusted so that the portions of the visual content that are output with the displays omits differences that would interfere with the user's perception of the visual content.Type: GrantFiled: March 17, 2025Date of Patent: January 13, 2026Assignee: Apple Inc.Inventors: Daniel S. Davidson, Evan W. Mattingly, Paul X. Wang, Trevor J. Ness
