Publication number: 20160367044Abstract: An infant high chair includes a standing frame, a seat assembly, and a lock mechanism operable to lock the seat assembly at a desirable height relative to the standing frame. The standing frame includes a latching part operable to lock the standing frame in an unfolded state, and a release actuator operatively connected with the latching part and arranged near a foot of the standing frame. The seat assembly is connected with the standing frame, and is vertically adjustable relative to the standing frame when the lock mechanism is unlocked. A downward displacement of the seat assembly relative to the standing frame to a predetermined lower position urges the release actuator in movement such that the release actuator actuates the latching part to unlock for allowing folding of standing frame.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 1, 2016Publication date: December 22, 2016Applicant: WONDERLAND NURSERYGOODS COMPANY LIMITEDInventors: Andrew J. HORST, Daniel A. SACK, Ryan N. MILLER, Curtis M. HARTENSTINE

Publication number: 20160007766Abstract: A seat assembly for infant chair includes a seat support frame, a rear and a front seat portion respectively connected with the seat support frame, and a weight-sensitive lock mechanism placed adjacent to the rear and front seat portions. The front seat portion is slidable relative to the rear seat portion along a lengthwise axis between an expanded state and a contracted state, the lengthwise axis extending from a front to a rear of the seat assembly, and the front and rear seat portion when in the expanded state defining a sitting surface adapted to receive a child. The weight-sensitive lock mechanism is activated by the placement of a load on the seat assembly to prevent displacement of the front seat portion relative to the rear seat portion from the expanded state to the contracted state. In one embodiment, the seat assembly including the weight-sensitive lock mechanism is implemented in an infant high chair.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 13, 2015Publication date: January 14, 2016Applicant: WONDERLAND NURSERYGOODS COMPANY LIMITEDInventors: Daniel A. SACK, Andrew J. HORST

Publication number: 20160000232Abstract: An infant care apparatus includes a support frame and an infant resting support rotationally connected with each other, and a first and a second latch. The infant resting support is provided with a first and a second bearing surface oriented in different directions, and has an angular position between a first and a second position, the first bearing surface facing upward in the first position, and the second bearing surface facing upward in the second position. The first latch can lock the infant resting support in the first and second positions. The second latch is switchable from a disengaged to an engaged state to stop the infant resting support in the angular position.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 1, 2015Publication date: January 7, 2016Applicant: Wonderland Nurserygoods Company LimitedInventors: Andrew J. HORST, Ryan N. MILLER, Daniel A. SACK, William B. BELLOWS, Curtis M. HARTENSTINE

Publication number: 20150313375Abstract: An infant high chair includes a standing frame, a seat assembly and a side segment. The seat assembly includes a seat support frame movably connected with the standing frame, and a rear and a front seat portion respectively connected with the seat support frame, the front seat portion being respectively connected with the seat support frame and the side segment at two vertically spaced-apart locations. The side segment is pivotally connected with the seat support frame about a pivot axis, and is rotatable between a folded state and a deployed state. A rotation of the side segment in a folding direction drives a rearward sliding displacement of the front seat portion relative to the rear seat portion. Moreover, a downward displacement of the seat assembly to a predetermined lower position while the side segment remains in the folded state can trigger unlocking of the standing frame.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 30, 2015Publication date: November 5, 2015Applicant: WONDERLAND NURSERYGOODS COMPANY LIMITEDInventors: Andrew J. HORST, Daniel A. SACK, Ryan N. MILLEr, Curtis M. HARTENSTINE

Patent number: 9101226Abstract: An infant supporting apparatus includes a leg frame defining a clearance and having foot portions configured to stand on a ground surface, a support frame assembled with the leg frame above the foot portions, and an infant resting support for receiving the placement of a child, the infant resting support being suspended from the support frame above the clearance. The infant supporting apparatus has a configuration of use in which the infant supporting apparatus has the leg frame standing on a ground adjacent to a play yard that is received at least partially through the clearance, the infant resting support being suspended from above the play yard and the infant supporting apparatus being attached with the play yard. Moreover, the infant supporting apparatus can be independently used as a standalone device separate from the play yard.Type: GrantFiled: January 29, 2014Date of Patent: August 11, 2015Assignee: Wonderland Nurserygoods Company LimitedInventors: Curtis M. Hartenstine, Andrew J. R. Horst, Ryan N. Miller, William B. Bellows, Daniel A. Sack

Patent number: 9078530Abstract: An infant playpen includes a plurality of upright legs, and a first and a second upper side rail assembly supported by the upright legs. Each of the first and a second upper side rail assembly includes at least one elongated segment having an outer surface, and a plurality of positioning regions are defined on the outer surfaces of the elongated segments, each of the positioning regions being configured to locate a connection of a removable accessory on the infant playpen. An infant care system is also disclosed, which includes the infant playpen and a removable accessory installed thereon. One selected positioning region of the first upper side rail assembly can be received in a housing of the removable accessory, and a locking part of the removable accessory is displaced to a locked position that retains the selected positioning region in the housing.Type: GrantFiled: August 12, 2014Date of Patent: July 14, 2015Assignee: Wonderland Nurserygoods Company LimitedInventors: Jerry S.
