  • Publication number: 20080229591
Abstract: The invention relates to a handheld tool, in particular a handheld saw, with an electric drive motor (12), a serially switched gearbox (13), and a movement converter (14) that converts the driven movement of the gearbox (13) into an axial to-and-fro movement of a lifting element (15) for driving a tool (16), in particular a saw blade, inside a housing (11). The gearbox (13) and the movement converter (14) are combined into a gear unit (17). The gear unit (17) is within a robust, bending- and deformation-resistant gear housing (40), which is in turn inside the housing (11). The housing (11) is made of flexible plastic.

  • Publication number: 20080222901
Abstract: The invention relates to a handheld hacksaw with a saw blade that can be moved to and fro, an effective support device (20) in the direction of sawing, with a support element (21) that supports the back of the saw blade, a holder (22) that holds the support element (21) between two sides (222, 223), and guide elements (26, 27) with facing guide surfaces (261, 271) on the two sides of the saw blade facing away from each other. To reduce the production costs for the handheld hacksaw by ensuring a simple design of the guide elements adequate for high-quality sawing, the guide elements (26, 27) have a fixed horizontal spacing of the guide surfaces (261, 271) thereof, perpendicular to the direction of sawing at the ends of the sides (222, 223) of the holder (22).

  • Publication number: 20080052921
Abstract: A base plate (20) for a power scroll saw is disclosed, which has a through opening (15) for a saw blade (13) that is drivable in a reciprocating motion by the power scroll saw. To prevent defective straight cuts and laterally obliquely extending cuts, especially in thick material to be cut, from lateral deflection of the tip of the saw blade in sawing, a guide device (21) with guide elements (22, 23) protruding into the through opening (15) is integrated with the base plate (20). With power scroll saws that have no guide device for laterally guiding the saw blade (13), an improved outcome of sawing can be attained by simply replacing its base plate for the novel base plate (20) disclosed here (FIG. 2).

  • Publication number: 20070107238
Abstract: A hand-held jigsaw machine is described that includes a machine housing (11), a saw blade (13) that is drivable in a reciprocating manner by a motor, a support device (20) with a support roller (23) that supports the saw blade on its back (132), and a holder (22) that is fixed to the machine housing (11) and accommodates the support roller (23) between two arms (222, 223), and a guide device (21) for guiding and supporting the saw blade (13) transversely to the saw direction with guide elements (24, 25) on opposite sides of the saw blade (13) at an adjustable distance from each other. To ensure economical production of the support and guide device and to reduce the number of components required, the guide device (21) is integrated in the holder (22) of the support device (20).

  • Publication number: 20060288594
Abstract: A hand power tool (10) that can be folded in its longitudinal span, having a housing base body (12) that holds the driven tool insert (14, 15) and whose axis is adjustable—relative to the axis of a housing part (11) serving as a handle—around a folding axis (13), is made especially compact and lightweight in that the hand power tool (10) is embodied in the form of a universal saw that has the ability to be locked in various angular positions of the housing parts (11, 12) relative to one other; the housing part (11) contains the drive motor (19), whose driven rotary motion is transmitted via an angle transmission (23, 35) to the tool insert—a saw blade (13, 14)—that is guided in the housing base body (12).

  • Publication number: 20060260140
Abstract: A universal saw capable of being employed as a jigsaw or sabre saw, having a housing containing a drive train that includes an electric drive motor and a motion converter that converts the rotary motion of the drive motor into a reciprocating working motion of the saw blade movably guided in the housing, and having a wear-resistant base plate for supporting the universal saw on the work piece to be machined can be adapted with particular ease to the optimally desired intended use as a jigsaw or as a sabre saw in that on the one hand, the base plate (21) can be rigidly locked in a definite, first operating position in relation to the housing of the universal saw (10) in which position, the direction of the working movement of the saw blade (14, 15) is perpendicular to the plane of the base plate (21) and on the other hand, outside of this operating position, the base plate (21) can be variably adjusted in its angular position in relation to the direction of the working movement.
