Abstract: Mechanical thrombectomy devices adapted for removing an occluding blood clot in a patient, and methods of manufacturing and using mechanical thrombectomy devices. Such a mechanical thrombectomy device includes a bore defining an interior passage of an aspiration catheter, and microstructures extending radially into the interior passage. The microstructures are adapted to engage a clot drawn into the aspiration catheter.
