  • Publication number: 20240071412
Abstract: Systems and methods of the present invention may relate to prediction of a mental health score, representing a mental condition of a speaker. Embodiments of the invention may analyze speech by receiving an audio data element representing a discussion; extracting a first set of audio segments pertaining to speech of a first speaker in the discussion; analyzing the first set of audio segments to produce a set of audio features; and applying a machine-learning (ML) model on the set of audio features, to predict a mental health score, representing a mental condition of the first speaker. Embodiments of the invention may provide technical means for supporting psychiatric assessment of mental disorders such as depression and anxiety in an automatic, nondisruptive manner, e.g., without direct patient's collaboration, thereby increasing validity of the assessment.

  • Patent number: 11421465
Abstract: A power closure actuator for powering a movable closure includes an output member configured to drive movement of the movable closure, a motor coupled through a gear reduction to drive the output member, and an integrated brake-clutch unit having an input configured to receive drive power from the electric motor. The brake-clutch unit provides independent braking and clutching between the electric motor and the output member via an electric brake actuator and an electric clutch actuator, respectively. Brake and clutch portions of the brake-clutch unit act on a rotor, and brake force can be maintained on the rotor without powering the brake actuator. A clutch disc is biased disengaged from the rotor. The integrated brake-clutch unit provides a drive state between the electric motor and the output member when the brake portion is released concurrently with the clutch portion establishing a power coupling between the clutch disc and the rotor.

  • Patent number: 6596802
Abstract: This invention describes the use of organoclays as additives to plasticizers to provide a plasticizer composition, to allow the mixing of the plasticizers with thermoplastic resins in the same process used to convert the resin formulation to finished product. The use of this invention eliminates the need for a preliminary compounding step to incorporate plasticizers into thermoplastics prior to extrusion or molding.

  • Publication number: 20020150704
Abstract: A laminate structure for both packaging and non-packaging applications, including a five layer coextrusion composite containing an EVOH/polyolefin composite barrier layer coated or applied to a paper or paperboard substrate. The laminated structure may contain a layer of linear low density polyethylene or other layers, as needed for the application. The EVOH/polyolefin blend layer is preferably a blend of an ethylene vinyl alcohol copolymer having 44% ethylene moiety and a low density polyethylene polymer. The blend barrier, which is part of a five layer coextrusion composite layer provides improved oxygen and moisture barrier characteristics to a package, prepared from such a laminated structure, as well as improved rigidity and heat resistance, thereby providing longer shelf life and excellent flavor retention to the stored contents as well as improved dimensional stability to the cartons, package or containers, at a reduced cost.

  • Patent number: 5288715
Abstract: A cellulose ester film which can be melt cast is manufactured by esterfying cellulose to form a cellulose acetate or cellulose acetate propionate having degrees of substitution of DSac=1.9 to 2.6, DSpr=0 to 0.9 and DS.sub.OH =0 to 0.55 and melt compounding the resulting polymer with a non-volatile phosphoric acid ester. A film is formed by melt extruding the compounded polymer onto a cooling surface to form a solid film. The film is then biaxially oriented at 130.degree. to 200.degree. C. and a stretch ratio of 1.25x to 2.5x in both directions. The resulting product is a film of excellent properties such as surface smoothness, light transmission, low haze, low color, high elastic modulus and curl relaxation after aqueous processing. The melt cast film is useful as a photographic roll film to replace solvent cast cellulose triacetate.
