  • Patent number: 9173046
Abstract: A method of modelling microphone characteristics of a target microphone is provided. An impulse response of target microphones is measured over different angles. A signal conditioning on the measurement data is performed. The spatial response based on a spatial response matching algorithm is matched and filter parameters and/or model parameters are determined.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 2, 2012
Date of Patent: October 27, 2015
Assignee: Sennheiser electronic GmbH & Co. KG
Inventors: Tom-Fabian Frey, Daniel Schlessinger, Stephan Scherthan
  • Patent number: 8949744
Abstract: There is provided a control system (1) comprising an earphone (2) and a processing device (3). The control system (1) has a processing device (3) for the evaluation of head movement information and/or head position information. In that case the processing device is adapted to output at least one control signal dependent on the evaluation, wherein the earphone has a sensor device (9a, 9b, 9c) for detecting the movement information and/or position information and a transmitting device (10) for transmitting the movement information and/or the position information to the processing device.
    Type: Grant

  • Publication number: 20120183156
Abstract: A microphone system is provided. The microphone system comprises at least one hand-held microphone and a base station. Audio signals detected by the hand-held microphone are forwarded to the base station. The hand-held microphone comprises a motion detection unit for detecting a motion or a gesture of a hand-held microphone. A control signal generating unit generates control signals based on the detected motion or gesture of the hand-held microphone. The hand-held microphone is adapted to forward the detected motion or gesture or the control signals to the base station. The output audio signal of the hand-held microphone can be manipulated based on the control signals. The hand-held microphone comprises an activation unit for activating or deactivating the motion detection unit or for activating or deactivating the transmission of the control signals.
