  • Publication number: 20070083926
Abstract: Exemplary methods, systems, and products are described for creating rules for the administration of end-user license agreements (‘EULAs’). Creating rules for the administration of end-user license agreements is accomplished by identifying, from historical license data, a license administration pattern. A license administration rule is then created in dependence upon the license administration pattern. Identifying a license administration pattern from historical license data may include data mining a collection of accepted EULAs and data mining a collection of rejected EULAs.

  • Publication number: 20060101453
Abstract: Methods, systems, and products are provided for deploying Java applications in resource constrained environments. Embodiments include identifying a resource constraint of a target system and filtering the Java application in dependence upon the identified resource constraint. In many embodiments, identifying a resource constraint of a target system includes identifying limited runtime processing capabilities of the target system and filtering the Java application in dependence upon the identified resource constraint includes preprocessing a tag library of the Java application. In some embodiments, preprocessing a tag library is carried out by identifying a tag library descriptor of the Java application and copying a listener from the tag library descriptor to a deployment descriptor for the Java application.

  • Patent number: 7012853
Abstract: The present invention provides a method and apparatus of acquiring and processing seismic data. One or more controllers are each coupled to seismic sensors and to each other to form a network of data acquisition units. A main controller is coupled to a crossline unit via a cable comprising a synchronizing conductor and one or more power/data conductors. Commands and data are packaged such that multiple routings are possible without affecting final calculations. Each crossline unit is capable of accepting a fiber optic input, a wire input or a combination.

  • Publication number: 20050190424
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for the optically scanning of objects, especially markings, use at least two emitters (10; 20) arranged so that light beams (12; 22) emitted by them sample or scan the object at different angles. The at least two emitters (10, 20) are arranged so that the emitted light beams (12, 24) strike reflecting surfaces (32) of a polygonal mirror (30) at different angles to a plane (36) that is perpendicular to an axis of rotation of the polygonal mirror, and which direct the beams onto the object being scanned so that the beams strike the object at different angles. The polygonal mirror (30) directs the beams reflected by the object onto an associated, separate receiver system to form at least two separate emitter/receiver channels.
