  • Publication number: 20190107390
Abstract: A portable laser emitter, laser target, and method for measuring the toe angle of a commercial truck steer axle are disclosed. The laser emitter is mounted to the wheel of a truck steer axle while the laser target is placed in front of the truck. Measurements are taken of the laser dot position on the target with the emitter mounted at either end of the steer axle. The process is then repeated with the target positioned behind the truck. The measurements taken from either end of the steer axle with both front and rear target positions are compared to determine the toe angle of the steer axle.

  • Patent number: 10113866
Abstract: A portable laser emitter, laser targets, and method for aligning commercial truck and trailer axles are disclosed. The laser emitter is mounted to the wheel of a truck drive axle while the laser targets are mounted to the truck's steer wheels. Measurements are taken of the laser dot position on the laser targets for both ends of the axle. The measurements taken from either end of the axle are compared to determine the angle of the drive axle. This method may also be applied to a commercial trailer by using a floor standing laser target centered on the trailer king pin.

Abstract: An apparatus for conveying products to a destination has a revolving conveyor chain embodied by entraining elements revolving along a first continuous track and have a certain chain pitch. A revolving conveying device is disposed with grippers arranged at a distance therebetween on the conveying device revolving around a second continuous track. A first zone of the first and second continuous track transfers products from the first continuous track on the conveyor chain to the second continuous track via the grippers. A second zone of the second continuous track delivers products from the grippers at the destination. A third zone of the first and second continuous track returns products not needed at the destination from the grippers on the second continuous track to the conveyor chain on the first continuous track.

  • Publication number: 20090126322
Abstract: A system for packing products in wallet packages incorporates a main feeding line for transporting the wallet packages as cut lengths of packaging or as strip material. It also includes a feeding mechanism for feeding the products in this main feeding line, and a placing mechanism for placing the products down on the cut lengths of packaging or on the strip material. The feeding mechanism is capable of pivoting in an approximately horizontal direction, in order to release the products into the main feeding line. This allows synchronization of several products supplied via different feeders, without the main feeding speed having to be dramatically reduced. In addition, periodically fed products can also be released in this way into the continuously running main process.

  • Publication number: 20080007300
Abstract: A buffer system includes a logic adjusting circuit for translating a first logic level of a first component to a second logic level of a second component. The first and second logic level values are substantially different, and the buffer system has no directional control signal. A method of interfacing at least two components with different logic voltage requirements on a single bus without a separate directional control signal includes initializing a buffering circuit, activating the buffering circuit, transferring data through the buffering circuit, and deactivating the buffering circuit. A method of implementing a bi-directional interface between at least two devices interfaced on a bus includes providing a plurality of logic components interconnected to transfer data through the bus, and transferring data through the bus from a first device to a second device. The direction of data transfer is determined without a separate directional control signal.

  • Publication number: 20070223305
Abstract: An improved system and method for stirring suspended solids in a liquid media to enhance sample growth and improve sample detection results. The system and method employs a sample vessel holder which adapted to receive at least one sample vessel which contains the solids and liquid media and a stirrer, such as a ferrous metal filled stirrer, and maintain the sample vessel in a position such that the longitudinal axis of the sample vessel extends at an angle substantially less than 90 degrees with respect to the horizontal, such as within the range of about 15 degrees to about 25 degrees with respect to the horizontal. The system and method further employs a magnet driver, adapted to move a magnet, such as a rare earth magnet, proximate to an outer surface of the sample vessel to permit the magnet to impose a magnetic influence on the stirrer to move the stirrer in the sample vessel.

  • Publication number: 20070189950
Abstract: The reaction of halo-boron compounds (B—X compounds, compounds having one or more boron-halogen bonds) with silanes provides boranes (B—H compounds, compounds having one or more B—H bonds) and halosilanes. Inorganic hydrides, such as surface-bound silane hydrides (Si—H) react with B—X compounds to form B—H compounds and surface-bound halosilanes. The surface bound halosilanes are converted back to surface-bound silanes electrochemically. Halo-boron compounds react with stannanes (tin compounds having a Sn—H bond) to form boranes and halostannanes (tin compounds having a Sn—X bond). The halostannanes are converted back to stannanes electrochemically or by the thermolysis of Sn-formate compounds. When the halo-boron compound is BCl3, the B—H compound is B2H6, and where the reducing potential is provided electrochemically or by the thermolysis of formate.
