  • Patent number: 8966686
Abstract: A couch top includes a top, a base, a universal joint coupling the top and the base, and actuators mounted on the base to pitch and roll the top. Feedback devices may be fitted on the rotating ends of the universal joint to provide feedback for a control loop. Each actuator has an actuated end that translates vertically to lift or lower the top. The vertical movement may be derived from a carriage riding in place on a translating inclined plane. When the actuated ends move in the same direction, they pitch the top. When the actuated ends move in the opposite directions, they roll the top. Feedback devices may be fitted on motors in the actuators to provide feedback for the control loop.

  • Publication number: 20070263538
Abstract: Disclosed is a method and system performing load distribution among a plurality of access concentrators, the method includes: receiving information regarding the load status of each access concentrator, building a database of the load status of each access concentrator based on the received information, receiving a session initiation message from a host, selecting an access concentrator based on the load status indicated in the database, modifying the session initiation message so that it is addressed to the selected access concentrator, and forwarding the modified message to the selected access concentrator.

  • Patent number: 5296031
Abstract: An electrostatic powder spray coating system for car bodies is disclosed. Above the car bodies (14) are moved through the cabin and from which the spray organs (94) are supplied with powder. The powder container (92) is supplied with fresh powder and recycled powder from a supply container (36). Short paths between the powder container and spray organs allow precise metering and therefore a good coating quality. The spray coating is applied within an arrangement of inner and outer cabins which allows pressurizing of space between the cabins to prevent ingress of atmospheric air into and egress of powder out of the system.

  • Patent number: 5271695
Abstract: A pipe arrangement (40) consists of two nested pipes (60, 62) and a nozzle head (68, 76) on their bottom ends. This nozzle head is located within the diameter of the pipe arrangement (40) and does not protrude radially beyond its diameter. The pipe arrangement can thus be slipped through a guide opening (7) of a guide device (1) into a container holding powder or can be pulled out completely of the guide opening (7), without a need for disassembly of parts of the device. The guide device (1) contains preferably a container lid (3) that can be set on the container (6). Provided on the pipe arrangement (40) is a stop (44) that can be fastened on said arrangement at various heights and through the adjustment of which the immersion depth of the pipe arrangement (40) in the container can be adjusted.

  • Patent number: 4923123
Abstract: A spray disk (4) rotating at high speed and connected to high voltage surrounds a guide rod (30) and can be reciprocated up and down along said guide rod, the latter being of a stationary arrangement. This permits the use of drive means (34, 50) which extend along the guide rod (30) so that for the up and down motion of the spray disk (4) there are no carrier rods required which protrude beyond the stroke of the spray disk beyond the device.
