Patent number: 11941156Abstract: The disclosed computer-implemented method for managing privacy policy violations may include obtaining, by the computing device, an intermediate representation of a privacy policy, wherein the intermediate representation denotes a formal policy and is generated by extracting the privacy policy in natural language from a website and parsing the privacy policy. The method may also include comparing, by the computing device, behavior of the website against the intermediate representation, thereby detecting at least one violation of the formal policy. The method may further include enforcing, by the computing device, the formal policy at least in part by taking a security action in response to the violation. Various other methods, systems, and computer-readable media are also disclosed.Type: GrantFiled: April 30, 2021Date of Patent: March 26, 2024Assignee: GEN DIGITAL INC.Inventors: Daniel Kats, Johann Roturier, Yun Shen, David Silva

Publication number: 20230007416Abstract: The flexible attachable tip is manufactured to repeatedly connect as well as disconnect to a body of a hearing assistance device. The flexible attachable tip is manufactured to have two or more offset layers of flexible earmolds. The tip has a dome-shaped earmold that is separated by an air gap from offset layers of inner earmolds. Each layer of ear mold has multiple bendable members with an air vent constructed into the bendable members for that earmold. Air space is formed in between each of the individual bendable members making up the flexible earmold for a given layer of the offset layers. The flexible earmolds including their bendable members bend to a deformed state in order to secure the hearing assistance device in position inside an ear canal, which prevents the device from falling out of an ear, while still providing both a sound path and an airflow path through the ear canal.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 30, 2022Publication date: January 5, 2023Inventors: Nuthan Hegde, Jonathan Sarjeant Aase, Daniel Shen

Publication number: 20200253504Abstract: Systems for characterizing tissue comprise: a tissue probe comprising a plurality of probe electrodes; a signal generator, a controller, and a user interface. The signal generator is in communication with the probe electrodes for delivering a drive signal to at least one probe electrode. The controller receives a recorded signal from one or more probe electrodes, the recorded signal resulting from delivery of the drive signal through tissue proximate the plurality of probe electrodes. The controller is configured to determine patient-to-patient differences when the tissue probe is proximate a known type of patient tissue and/or bodily fluid, and it produces tissue characterization information based on the recorded signal and the patient-to-patient differences. The user interface provides the tissue characterization information to an operator of the system. Methods of characterizing tissue are also provided.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 1, 2017Publication date: August 13, 2020Inventors: Daniel Shen, Brett Herscher, David Krawzsenek, Kyler Connelly, Michael Baker, R. Patent number: 10284977Abstract: Securing mechanisms for space access devices, such as an audio signal transmitting device, include a plurality of flattened members that are configured to transition from a relaxed state to a securing state when the space access device is inserted into an internal space or opening that has an inside diameter smaller than an outside diameter of the flattened members in the relaxed state. The flattened members securely engage a surface of the internal space and conform to the shape and size of the internal space. An amount of force applied by the flattened members to the surface of the internal space can be tuned by changing a stiffness of a rib supporting the flattened member.Type: GrantFiled: August 20, 2018Date of Patent: May 7, 2019Assignee: Eargo, Inc.Inventors: Daniel Shen, Michael Barrett, Raphael Michel, Florent Michel
