  • Publication number: 20240121081
Abstract: An access control system is disclosed for controlling access to a resource. A request is received by a location attribute policy (LAP) server to access an encrypted resource. The LAP server accesses a resource policy that identifies requirements for granting access to the encrypted resource, such as a list of attributes of the requestor that are required and a dynamic attribute requirement of the requestor. The LAP server receives a cryptographic proof from the computing device that the requestor possesses the attributes and validates the proof based at least on information obtained from a trusted ledger. Once the proof is validated, the LAP server provides a shared secret associated with the dynamic attribute requirement to a decryption algorithm. The decryption algorithm uses the dynamic attribute shared secret in combination with one or more attribute shared secrets from the requestor to generate a decryption key for the encrypted resource.

  • Publication number: 20220157048
Abstract: A computer-aided diagnosis (CAD) system for classification and visualisation of a 3D medical image comprises a classification component comprising a 2D convolutional neural network (CNN) that is configured to generate a prediction of one or more classes for 2D slices of the 3D medical image. The system also comprises a visualisation component that is configured to: determine, for a target class of said one or more classes, which slices belong to the target class; for each identified slice, determine, by back-propagation to an intermediate layer of the CNN, a contribution of each pixel of the identified slice to classification of the identified slice as belonging to the target class; and generate a heatmap that provides a visual indication of the contributions of respective pixels.

  • Patent number: 6000399
Abstract: A method and apparatus for positioning a patient for the diagnosis of herniated lumbar disc disease permits the generation of increased intra-disc pressure which may serve to stimulate or accentuate abnormalities which can be diagnosed through MRI imaging. The apparatus consists of a frame in which a patient lies in a supine position. The frame allows the generation of muscular forces which are transmitted to the lumbar spine area. The patient is then positioned within an MRI imaging apparatus and subjected to MRI imaging while the muscular forces are maintained. The frame may preferably include a footboard and shoulder restraints positioned as to require the patient to slightly bend the knees. Extension of the legs generates the required forces.
