  • Patent number: 12548151
Abstract: Described herein are systems and methods for estimation of vital signs using camera data. In one or more examples of the disclosure, a RGB camera (i.e., a visible spectrum camera) can be used to collect imaging data of one or more subjects. The acquired video can be analyzed to determine the presence of a region of interest (ROI) in the field of view of the video. Using the pixel information of the identified region of interest, the system and methods can estimate both heart rate and respiratory rate of a subject by observing the periodicity of change in color of the pixels in the region of interest. The change in color can be monitored by determining the power spectral density (PSD) of each pixel and monitoring the changes in PSD over time.

  • Publication number: 20250319995
Abstract: A representative system for docking a first spacecraft to a second spacecraft can include a fiducial marker carried by the second spacecraft, wherein the fiducial marker includes a metal substrate and a surface treatment forming a computer-readable image on the metal substrate. The computer-readable image can include a pattern of a plurality of blocks (e.g., an ArUCo pattern), in which one or more first blocks of the plurality of blocks includes a first coating having a first emissivity and a first solar radiation absorption coefficient, and one or more second blocks of the plurality of blocks is uncoated or includes a second coating that has a second emissivity and a second solar radiation absorption coefficient. In some embodiments, the first emissivity is less than the second emissivity and the first solar radiation absorption coefficient is greater than the second solar radiation absorption coefficient.

  • Publication number: 20240315725
Abstract: An assembly and method for end-to-side connection to anatomical tissue is disclosed. The system and method are particularly useful in coupling a ventricular assist device pump to an aorta. The assembly and method include using a tubular graft member coupled to a connection ring having at least one of a plurality of distally projecting tines extending from a distal aspect of the connection ring, and a stent having a distal flange section configured to abut an abluminal wall surface of the aorta, and an assembly including the tubular graft member and connection ring, for delivering the end-to-side connection.

  • Patent number: 11579018
Abstract: In an example, a thermal imaging test article comprises a block configured to be attached to a blackbody on a back side of the block, the block having a variable thickness to represent facial features of a human face, the block including a cutout to allow a thermal imaging device to see the blackbody behind the block through the cutout, and one or more heaters thermally coupled to the block to produce heat to heat the block. The variable thickness of the block and the heat produced by the one or more heaters are selected to simulate thermally the human face on a front side of the block.

  • Publication number: 20220143602
Abstract: The present disclosure describes multi-well plates comprising a frame made of a first material having an array of a plurality of holes arranged in a columnar pattern on the top surface and an array of segmented breaking features arranged in a linear columnar pattern which alternates with the columnar pattern of the plurality of holes, and a plurality of tubes/wells made of a second material placed into the plurality of holes, wherein the multi-well plate is manually divisible along the segmented breaking features into one or more columns of multi-well/tube strips. Manually dividing multi-well plate of the disclosure produces multi-well strips or segments that have smooth edges, thereby reducing injuries and glove tear incidences.
