Patent number: 10259635Abstract: A storage and mixing device includes a mixing compartment, two pistons that each extend from the mixing compartment and end in a displacement section, each piston defining a passageway having a first opening communicating with the mixing compartment and a second opening communicating with an inlet at the displacement section, and a housing having two piston guides and a cartridge compartment connected to the piston guide, each piston guide slidably receiving one of the pistons, and each cartridge compartment receiving a removable cartridge that includes a cavity for containing separate substances and an opening sealed by a cartridge seal. The displacement section of each piston includes a piercing member for piercing the cartridge seal of the cartridge arranged in the corresponding cartridge compartment, such that the displacement section enters the cartridge cavity and displaces the contained substance into the mixing compartment via the inlet and the passageway.Type: GrantFiled: November 25, 2015Date of Patent: April 16, 2019Assignee: SULZER MIXPAC AGInventors: Josef Ettlin, Daniel Strasser, Cedric Ullmann

Publication number: 20050169724Abstract: A bumper having an outer compressible layer, such as foam, positioned to absorb an impact and an inner layer of fiberglass laminated end-grain balsa for transferring residual load. The layers are wrapped in a fiberglass skin or urethane coating. The bumper is particularly useful when integrated into a frame used to mount fuel cylinders onto a vehicle roof. The bumper is attached to the frame using struts or balsa pillars and mounting plates so that loading resulting from an impact is transferred from the bumper and into the frame for preventing damage to the fuel cylinders. The mounting system can be configured to mount cylinders longitudinally in the direction of travel of the vehicle or transverse to the direction of travel. A bumper is attached at the front of the frame and a second bumper may be positioned at the back of the frame depending upon the configuration of the mounting.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 1, 2005Publication date: August 4, 2005Applicant: DYNETEK INDUSTRIES LTD.Inventors: Jeffery SHARP, Russell SCHLENDER, Daniel STRASSER
