    Abstract: A method of measuring battery internal resistance during a charging process of a battery is provided in the present technology. The method includes applying a charge current to the battery through modulating a charge current limit, monitoring battery operation conditions comprising a state of charge (SOC) of the battery and a temperature of the battery, applying a first current pulse by adjusting a charge current limit of the battery based on at least one of the battery operation conditions meeting one or more pre-defined threshold values, measuring voltages of the battery during a first and a second time window of the first current pulse, and estimating the battery internal resistance in accordance with variances of the voltages of the battery and variances of the charge current.
