    Abstract: Systems and methods for bringing a window into focus are provided. In some aspects, a method includes providing for display of a first window and a second window in a user interface. The first window is in focus. The second window is not in focus. The method includes receiving a user input for bringing the second window into focus. The method includes brightening at least a dimmed portion of the second window in response to the user input for bringing the second window into focus. The method includes gradually dimming at least a visible portion of the first window in response to the user input for bringing the second window into focus. The method includes pausing the dimming, after expiration of a time period, of the at least the visible portion of the first window.
