  • Patent number: 6059220
Abstract: A wire dispensing rack for holding a wire spool such that wire may be dispensed from the spool includes a first frame assembly. At least first and second support rollers are carried by the first frame assembly. The support rollers are adapted to seat different sized spools holding wire to be dispensed. A puller roller is carried by the first frame assembly below said first and second support rollers. A wire spool is placed on the support rollers and the wire to be dispensed is passed under the puller roller. When the wire to be dispensed is pulled, the wire engages the puller roller creating a downward force on the spool pulling it into the support rollers. The spool is thus retained on the wire rack through the force of dispensing wire.

  • Patent number: 5974916
Abstract: A wirenut driver includes a ratchet ball which drives a socket. The ratchet ball is formed with a center opening which allows the ratchet ball to receive a stem of the socket in either end thereof for rotation in either the clockwise or counterclockwise direction. The socket is formed with a center bore. The center bore is formed by a plurality of alternating channels and ribs which engage complementary shaped channels and ribs of a wirenut. Rotation of the ratchet ball produces rotation of the socket and wirenut for attaching the wirenut to a plurality of wires for electrically connecting the wires together. A pair of slots are formed in an open end of the socket adjacent the center bore for receiving a wingnut-type wirenut. The inner surface of the center bore may be stepped or tapered to receive various sizes of wirenuts.

  • Patent number: 5687928
Abstract: A rack for rotatably mounting one or more wire dispensing spools. A set of four rollers extend horizontally between a pair of spaced parallel side walls and are positioned in a substantially square-shaped configuration and rotatably mount and retain the spools therebetween. Each roller includes a cylindrical low friction plastic sleeve mounted on a center support rod or axle. A plurality of spacers separate the sleeve into a plurality of sleeve sections allowing the spools to rotate independently of each other without affecting the rotation of adjacent spools. A top roller of each set is spring biased and moves horizontally within a pair of aligned slots formed in the spaced side walls allowing the spring biased roller to move horizontally toward and away from the other top roller of each set enabling the spools to be easily inserted or removed from the rack.
