  • Patent number: 11953808
Abstract: A mounting system for an image capture device that includes three pivotably connected arms is disclosed. The first arm includes a first fastener that is lockable and unlockable to allow for connection and disconnection of the image capture device, and a second fastener that is lockable and unlockable to regulate the position of the image capture device relative to the first arm. The mounting system further includes a third fastener that is lockable and unlockable to regulate the relative positioning between the first arm and the second arm, and a fourth fastener that is lockable and unlockable to regulate the relative positioning between the second arm and the third arm. Whereas the first fastener is removable, each of the second, third, and fourth fasteners is captive to (nonremovable from) the mounting system.

  • Patent number: 8760816
Abstract: A disk drive includes a disk drive base and a disk rotatably mounted to the disk drive base. First and second permanent magnets are fixed to the disk drive base. An actuator is pivotably mounted to the disk drive base. The actuator defining an actuator pivot axis about which the actuator pivots. The actuator includes an actuator coil disposed between the first and second permanent magnets. An actuator latch is disposed adjacent to the actuator. The actuator latch includes a biasing element that comprises a ferromagnetic material. An overlapping portion of the first permanent magnet overlaps the second permanent magnet as viewed from a viewing direction that is parallel to the actuator pivot axis. A protruding portion of the first permanent magnet does not overlap the second permanent magnet as viewed from the viewing direction.

  • Publication number: 20100213311
Abstract: An electromechanical actuating assembly (100) can have a redundant design with a first electric motor (300A) providing actuator-moving power via a first drive train (400A) and a second electric motor (300B) providing actuator-moving power via a second drive train (400B). A first decoupling train (600A) can transmit decoupling power to decouple the first drive train (400A) from the actuator (200) and a second decoupling train (600B) for transmit decoupling power to decouple the second drive train (400B) from the actuator (200). The assembly (100) is operable in a fault-tolerant mode wherein actuator-moving power is transferred only through one drive train (400A/400B) and the other drive train (400B/400A) is decoupled from the actuator (200).

  • Publication number: 20040189769
Abstract: A printing system for drying ink deposited upon a printable medium. The system including at least one print head for directing ink onto the medium as the print head moves over the printable medium. Moving with the print head is at least one halogen lamp that generates electromagnetic radiation having a sufficient wavelength to penetrate the ink. The at least one halogen lamp may irradiate the printable medium and/or the platen, with one or both of the printable medium and the platen aiding with drying the ink deposited upon the printable medium.
