  • Patent number: 12338766
Abstract: A propulsion system for an aircraft includes at least two steam generation assemblies that each include a condenser where water is extracted from the gas flow and an evaporator where the extracted water is heated to generate a portion of a total steam flow for injection into the core flow path. A monitoring system is configured to gather information indicative of operation of each of the at least two steam generation assemblies. A control system is configured to independently adjust operation of each of the at least two steam generation assemblies.

  • Publication number: 20250108724
Abstract: A power system includes a power source configured to output electrical power, a power converter configured to convert the electrical power into a converted power, and a power bus configured to deliver the converted power to a power load connected to the power bus. The power system further includes a controller that implements a neural network (NN) trained to perform a NN-based model predictive control (NNMPC). The controller utilizes the NNMPC to obtain at least one learned control input for power regulation for a current system state and power load measurement of the power load in real-time, and to perform an output action that regulates the power system based on the at least one learned control input obtained by the NNMPC.

  • Publication number: 20240209798
Abstract: A system including a supervisory controller configured to receive one or more mission objectives for an aircraft mission, and condition data; a memory for storing program instructions; at least one local supervisory controller, operatively coupled to the memory, and in communication with the supervisory controller and operative to execute program instructions to: simulate execution of the aircraft mission to address at least one of the one or more mission objectives; receive data output from at least one subsystem, the data output including a measurement of an aircraft physical system; generate a mission plan executable to address at least one of the one or more mission objectives via manipulation of the at least one subsystem; receive the generated mission plan at a subsystem controller directly from the at least one local supervisory controller; and automatically execute the generated mission plan to operate an aircraft.
