  • Publication number: 20240061087
Abstract: An optical system comprising: a sensor array having a field of view; an emitter array comprising a plurality of emitter units mounted on a surface of a common substrate and arranged in a two-dimensional array, wherein each emitter unit in the plurality of emitter units is spaced apart from its adjacent emitter units by a first pitch and emits pulses of light having a predetermined beam divergence; and a fly's eye element spaced apart from the emitter array and configured to spread light received from each emitter unit in the plurality of emitter units element across the entire field of view of the sensor array, the fly's eye element comprising a first and second arrays of lenslets spaced apart from each other, wherein individual lenslets in the first and second arrays of lenslets are spaced apart from each other in at least one dimension by a second pitch that is different than the first pitch, and wherein each individual lenslets in the first array of lenslets is aligned with a corresponding lenslet in the s

  • Publication number: 20230324559
Abstract: A LIDAR unit includes a housing defining a cavity. The LIDAR unit further include a plurality of emitters disposed on a circuit board within the cavity. Each of the emitters emits a laser beam along a transmit path. The LIDAR system further includes a first telecentric lens assembly positioned within the cavity and along the transmit path such that the laser beam emitted from each of the plurality of emitters passes through the first telecentric lens assembly. The LIDAR further includes a second telecentric lens assembly positioned within the cavity and along a receive path such that a plurality of reflected laser beams entering the cavity pass through the second telecentric lens assembly. The first telecentric lens assembly and the second telecentric lens assembly each include a field flattening lens and at least one other lens.

  • Publication number: 20190093524
Abstract: A piston for a hydraulic unit of a cam phaser, wherein the piston is configured cylindrical and wherein the piston is received axially movable in a cam phaser opening of the cam phaser, wherein according to a positioning of the piston a plurality of connections, in particular operating connections of the cam phaser are opened and closed, wherein the piston includes an outer contour that is configured for opening or closing the connections wherein the outer contour is configured complementary to an inner contour of the cam phaser opening in order to provide opening and/or closing of the connections. The invention also relates to a cam phaser.
