    Abstract: A modular radio frequency (RF) device includes N base units, each including a differential segmented array (DSA) tile with a support board and a two-dimensional (2D) array of electrically conductive tapered projections disposed on the support board. Neighboring pairs of the electrically conductive tapered projections form RF pixels. The N DSA tiles are arranged to form an RF aperture. The N base units are programmed to switch the RF aperture between a first operating mode and a second operating mode. In the first operating mode, the N base units are operated as at least two independent subsets with each subset operating as an RF transmitter or receiver independently of the other subsets. In the second operating mode all N base units coherently combine as a single phased array RF transmitter or receiver.

    Abstract: An air interface plane (AIP) of a radio frequency (RF) aperture includes: a circuit board having a first side and a second side opposite the first side; and a matrix of tapered elements arranged on the first side of the circuit board and secured to the circuit board, the matrix of tapered elements cooperating to at least one of receive or transmit an over-the-air RF signal. Suitably, each tapered element of the matrix has: a central hub extending along a longitudinal axis from a hub base which is proximate to the first side of the circuit board to an apex of the tapered element which is distal from the first side of the first circuit board; and a plurality of arms extending from the central hub at the apex of the tapered element, each of the plurality of arms including a first portion that projects the arm radially away from the longitudinal axis and a second portion that projects the arm longitudinally toward the first side of the circuit board.

    Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for an advanced stereoscopic 3D rendering system to solve several of these 3D rendering issues and work independently of different game engines. For example, the system can include a stereoscopic render mechanism to apply post-processing effects to OpenGL ES applications. The advanced stereoscopic 3D rendering system can be added as an interception layer between the game engine and the display screen of the user. This interception layer can be integrated with many different game engines to create a 3D view for various user device models, thus removing the need for image generators at the user device to create 3D images. The 3D images can be created by the advanced stereoscopic 3D rendering system for viewing by the end user and seemingly incorporated with the game or other software application.

    Abstract: A ramp assembly includes a platform that may be positioned adjacent to a door of a vehicle. The platform is positioned to be longitudinally coextensive with the vehicle thereby facilitating a disabled person to enter the vehicle. A plurality of legs is removably attached to the platform such that each of the legs may abut a support surface. A ramp is slidably coupled to the platform. The ramp is positionable in a deployed position having the ramp extending between the platform and the support surface. Thus, the ramp may facilitate a wheelchair to be rolled onto the platform thereby facilitating the disabled person to enter the vehicle. The ramp is positionable in a stored position having the ramp being stored within the platform.
