  • Patent number: 7955155
Abstract: Magnetic and electronic toy construction systems and elements are provided that include an assembly of at least two panels that have at least two magnet holders located around the perimeter of the panel for embedding and positioning magnets therein. Magnets are disposed in each of the magnet holders such that all of the dipole axes of magnets in a single panel are coplanar and intersect to define a polygon. When attaching two adjacent panels, at least two ferromagnetic spheres are used such that the dipole axes of one magnet from each of the adjacent panels are collinear. In this manner, several panels configured in this way may be nested together to form great varieties of constructions.

  • Publication number: 20100300609
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method to produce a polymeric sheet comprising the steps of providing an acid-based polymer, providing a neutralizing agent, the neutralizing agent being selected from the group consisting of an organic metallic compound, a metallic salt of a fatty acid, and an ionomer, or a mixture thereof, providing a processing oil, mixing said acid-based polymer, said neutralizing agent, said processing oil, to obtain a polymeric composition, and processing said polymeric composition to form a polymeric sheet. The polymeric sheet may be used as a component, or as a substrate, of a surface covering. The polymeric sheet may also be used to form polymeric particles which are component of so-called “homogenous”, or substrate-free, surface covering.

  • Publication number: 20100056886
Abstract: A portable vital sign monitor is provided which has a palm vital sign monitor unit carried by the patient, the unit comprising an optical probe positioned in the palm of the patient which measures at least one vital sign including SpO2 and pulse rate but not exclusively and only those vital signs. The detected vital signs are stored in memory and transmitted by wireless inter-connection to a communication base unit, which transmits the vital sign by a phone line, LAN, Internet, serial interface or the like to a data processing device/centre.

  • Patent number: 7658662
Abstract: A toy having a pivoting member such as a dump bucket or bed, with an automatic locking system on the pivoting member. An embodiment of the present invention provides toy having a chassis, a pivoting member pivotably and slideably mounted on the chassis, and a latch mechanism. The pivoting member pivots with respect to a pivot axis and slides in a direction radial to the pivot axis from a first position to a second position. The latch mechanism engages the chassis with the pivoting member in the first position and prevents the pivoting member from pivoting, and disengages the chassis from the pivoting member in the second position to allow the pivoting member to pivot.

  • Patent number: 7140211
Abstract: This invention relates to a security system aimed at closing and locking a cover of an opening of a tank trailer to avoid any tampering of its content and to prove that the content of the tank has not been tampered. The security system comprises a locking member movable between a lock position to prevent the opening of the cover, and an unlock position to allow the opening of the cover. The invention also comprises an actuating device mounted to the tank trailer operatively connected to the locking member for moving it between the lock and the unlock positions. A sealing mechanism engages the actuating device when the locking member is in the lock position to prevent any movement of the locking member. The sealing mechanism comprises a breakable indicator which is broken upon disengagement from the actuating device, thereby indicating that the openable cover has been tampered with.

  • Publication number: 20040183335
Abstract: A box structure for holding bulk material, and an associated method of manufacture, including a bottom member having an inside surface and an outside surface, wherein the bottom member is formed from a substantially-rigid material. The box structure also including a plurality of channel structures in direct contact with and fixedly attached to the outside surface of the bottom member, wherein each of the plurality of channel structures is formed from a substantially-rigid material, and wherein the plurality of channel structures are configured to receive an attachment mechanism for movably and/or removably attaching the box structure to a vehicle. The box structure further including a plurality of side members each having an inside surface and an outside surface, the plurality of side members collectively defining an opening, wherein each of the plurality of side members is formed from a substantially-rigid material.
