Patent number: 11565643Abstract: A front guard attached to a front portion of a vehicle body of a work vehicle includes a lower frame attached to the vehicle body, and an upper frame that is attached to the lower frame so as to be swingable around a shaft oriented in the vehicle width direction and the posture of which can be changed between a standing posture and a forward leaning posture by swinging with respect to the lower frame. The upper frame has: a left part that is pivotally supported by a left portion of the lower frame and extends upward; a right part that is pivotally supported by a right portion of the lower frame and extends upward; and an upper part that couples an upper portion of the left part and an upper portion of the right part. The upper part is provided with a protruding portion that protrudes downward.Type: GrantFiled: January 25, 2021Date of Patent: January 31, 2023Assignee: KUBOTA CORPORATIONInventors: Ryuichi Nadaoka, Takahiro Yonekura, Daniel Underwood

Patent number: 10704231Abstract: A front loader includes a boom to which a bucket or a working implement other than the bucket is attached, a boom cylinder to move the boom, a first control valve to supply an operation fluid to the boom cylinder, a supporting member supporting the boom on a front portion of a vehicle body of a work machine, an attachment frame extending backward from the supporting member. The attachment frame is attached to a side portion of the vehicle body. The front loader further includes a second control valve to supply the operation fluid to the working implement. The second control valve is attached to the attachment frame.Type: GrantFiled: February 8, 2019Date of Patent: July 7, 2020Assignee: KUBOTA CORPORATIONInventors: Hiroaki Iizuka, Daniel Underwood, Chad Reeves, Patrick Penland

Publication number: 20060272270Abstract: A connector assembly for concrete reinforcing bars comprises a seat section 21 and retainer 22 for use with the seat section 21 to connect bars having a semicircle loop at the ends. The seat section 21 is generally U-shaped and the retainer 22 is generally T-shaped. The seat section is symmetrical, the retainer is not, the bars are of uniform cross-section. A wedging action arises from the asymmetry of the retainer. The seat section has opposed lands in the form of posts 28 and 29, these posts have channels 30 and 31 which take the bar loop sections (not shown). The retainer has a central wedge 37 which, is operative to eliminate play between the bars and the parts of the connector to effectively form a rigid unit. This is accomplished by reason of the complex wedge action arising from a first wedge region adjacent the front at 38 on opposite sides of the wedge 37 and a second wedge region 39 which comprises a curved continuation of the wedge region 38 and a third wedge region at 40.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 6, 2006Publication date: December 7, 2006Inventor: Daniel Underwood

Publication number: 20060153635Abstract: A connector (10) and a U-shaped section of reinforcing bar (11) secured within the connector by a retainer (14). The connector (10) is symmetrical about the axial line (12) so that a corresponding reinforcing bar (11) may be located in the opposite side of the connector. The connector includes a seat section (13) and a retainer section (14). The seat section (13) includes opposed D-shaped lands (15) and (16) defining thereabout channels (17) and (18) into which the curved sections (19) of reinforcing bars (11) can be located and positioned. The retainer (14) includes a T-shaped projection (20) that extends transverse straight across the connector and serves to block compressive movement of the bars. The lands (15) and (16) inhibit deformation of the U-shaped bars when they are placed under tension. The projection (20) of the retainer and its engagement with the seat section serves to apply an outward force to the bars and an inward force to the lands (15) and (16) as the retainer is driven into place.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 21, 2004Publication date: July 13, 2006Inventor: Daniel Underwood

Patent number: 6671158Abstract: An electromagnetic, pulse width modulated control device includes a solenoid powered by a varying supply voltage and having an actuator movable from an extended position to a pulled in position by a first power level and into a hold in position by a second power level less than the first power level. A pulse width modulated circuit is connected with the solenoid and is responsive to the varying supply voltage for adjusting the pulse width accordingly so as to provide a substantially constant second power level applied to the solenoid to maintain the hold in position.Type: GrantFiled: November 5, 2001Date of Patent: December 30, 2003Assignee: Deltrol ControlsInventor: Daniel Underwood

Patent number: 6611149Abstract: A nipple testing apparatus for testing the nipple end of condoms mounted onto a mandrel, the apparatus having an electrically conducted nipple-shaped cavity connected in electrical circuit to the mandrel, such that electrical current passing through the condom disposed between the mandrel and the nipple cavity indicates a defect in the condom.Type: GrantFiled: December 23, 2002Date of Patent: August 26, 2003Assignee: Agri Dynamics, Inc.Inventors: Daniel Underwood, Ken Thompson
