  • Patent number: 11702153
Abstract: An active rear airfoil arrangement (10) for a trailing area of a vehicle having a turbulence creating area. The arrangement (10) is for connection with a static rear horizontal spoiler (20) associated with the rear portion of a vehicle and includes an active rear horizontal spoiler (30a, 30b, 30c). The active rear horizontal spoiler (30a, 30b, 30c) moves to a deployed position and forms a flow passage (48a, 48b, 48c, 48d) that extends horizontally across the top of a liftgate (12). In another aspect of the invention the active rear airfoil arrangement (10) includes vertical left and right active spoilers (32a,32b; 36a,36b) that move to create a flow passage (74,76,88,90) on the left side and right side of a liftgate (12).

  • Patent number: 11220155
Abstract: An air vent for thermally controlling the temperature in the cabin of a vehicle. The air vent includes an air mover and a plurality of thermal control channels. Each thermal control channel of the plurality of thermal control channels includes a magnetocaloric material. Further, the air vent includes a magnet for inducing a changing magnetic field in the magnetocaloric material, as well as a vent damper downstream of the plurality of thermal control channels. The vent damper is configured to selectively direct airflow from the air mover and divert air from at least one thermal control channel to a vent space and air from at least one other thermal control channel to a regulated temperature space.

  • Patent number: 5392972
Abstract: A collapsible partition for the trunk of a motor vehicle includes a transverse extending wall member to which side wall members are pivotably mounted. The collapsible partition is secured within the trunk of the motor vehicle by a pair of straps which are secured at a first end to the transverse wall member and at the second end to anchors located within the vehicle trunk. A liner is also provided and is secured to a bottom portion of the transverse and side wall members for defining a bottom for the partition device.
