    Abstract: A process for the preparation of a compound of the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1, R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 are individually selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, alkyl and alkoxy of 1 to 7 carbon atoms, alkenyl, alkynyl, alkenyloxy and alkynyloxy of 2 to 7 carbon atoms, phenyl, phenoxy, --NO.sub.2, --CF.sub.3, acyl of 1 to 7 carbon atoms and esteri-fied carboxy and R.sub.4, R.sub.5 and R.sub.6 are individually hydrogen or alkyl of 1 to 7 carbon atoms comprising reacting a compound of the formula ##STR2## wherein R.sub.1, R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 have the above definitions and Hal is halogen with a compound of the formula ##STR3## wherein R.sub.4, R.sub.5 and R.sub.6 have the above definitions in the presence of a catalyst and optionally a solvent.
