    Abstract: A reactive material comprising a polymer and a metal foam is provided. The strength of the reactive material is increased by the inclusion of the metal foam. Also provided is a method of making a reactive material by including a metal foam therein and ordnance containing the reactive material. A preferred reactive material includes polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) and an aluminum foam.
