  • Patent number: 7097327
Abstract: A lever pivot safety stop socket for fluorescent lamps. The device consists of a molded plastic housing which includes electrical contact strips, attached to power leads; and a plastic, levered and slotted rotor. The rotor fits into an opening in the housing face, leaving its lever portion outside, and able to turn the rotor. Both housing top and lever portion include a wide slot, and when the lever is pointing towards the housing top, the slots line up. This is the lamp installation position, allowing lamp terminal end pins to be easily dropped into the housing slot and into the rotor slots. The lamp can then be rotated a quarter turn in either direction by the lever, to make a full connection with the power contacts in the housing. Provision is made so that no more than a quarter turn can be made from the installation position in either direction, avoiding “opens”, arcing and possible damage. A mounting bracket is attached to the housing for mounting the socket.

  • Patent number: 5140225
Abstract: A lamp power transformer circuit which is packaged in a module housing having the same size, shape and cross section as a linear lighting fixture to which it is attached. The transformer circuit is designed to rectify input 60 Hz power and to switch the DC at a high frequency through a small stepdown magnetic transformer, to produce a lamp supply voltage of 12 volts, 30 KHz. The invention produces a light weigth lamp transformer, having a high operating efficiency, and sized for attaching to a previous invention, linear lighting fixture which incorporates low voltage halogen lamps.

  • Patent number: 5023765
Abstract: A lamp bracket for use in a linear lighting fixture. The lamp bracket is constructed so that when the bracket is attached to the fixture, the lamp socket portion can be pivoted downwards or outwards away from the fixture, permitting easy removal and replacement of the lamp. The invention is an improvement on the previous lamp bracket for the linear lighting fixture, which was fixed horizontally, allowing little room for lamp replacement.

  • Patent number: 4748548
Abstract: A linear lighting fixture primarily adapted for use with low voltage halogen lamps. The main fixture comprises a substantially U-shaped cross-section member having a pair of longitudinal ridges near the extremities and a plurality of identical light modules capable of being removably inserted at different portions on the elongated housing. Each light module comprises a bulb, a socket, lens and mounting clips for holding the light module onto the housing by means of the longitudinal ridges located on the housing. The housing is supported by additional clips having channeled end portions that also lock into the longitudinal ridges located on the housing. The individual light modules may be removed without disturbing the housing or the housing mountings. The lighting fixture is highly adaptable for providing high intensity spotlighting or flood lighting by simply adding or removing additional light modules.

  • Patent number: 4747025
Abstract: Track electrodes inserted into the slots of a slatwall display panel are connected to a reduction transformer output, conducting electricity to a two-contact lamp mounting bracket that supports an electric lamp. Position of the light is adjustable in three planes. Any desired number of lighting fixtures may be used with a slatwall.
