Abstract: An electrical connector for interconnecting printed circuit boards with signal and grounding contacts has a housing including a base defining signal contact seating passages therethrough, a sidewall adjacent the base and including successive first and second sidewall portions of respective different thickness, the second sidewall portions defining with the base a plurality of channels each for the receipt of a grounding contact member, the base including a portion in spaced facing relation to each of the second sidewall portions. The base and each base portion have adjacent surface portions with mutually different attitudes preselected to match the respective different attitudes of sections of a grounding contact member to be inserted in each of the channels.
