Publication number: 20240338650Abstract: An apparatus for monitoring and replenishing an inventory of goods includes a first inventory area and a first movable structure having a first optical code associated with the first distinct inventory area. The first movable structure is placed in a replenishment signaling area after a supply of goods in the inventory area has been depleted. Boundary optical codes are disposed near a boundary of the replenishment signaling area. A camera generates periodic images of the replenishment signaling area and the boundary optical codes. A computer processor detects the boundary optical codes in the images and determines a boundary line of the replenishment signaling area based thereon. The processor determines a spatial relationship between the first optical code and the boundary line in the images and generates a replenishment notification based on the spatial relationship. The replenishment notification indicates that the supply of the first type of goods needs to be replenished.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 5, 2023Publication date: October 10, 2024Applicant: DeRoyal Industries, Inc.Inventors: Gregory S. Publication number: 20180323452Abstract: A fuel cell temperature-measuring system includes a coolant source that provides coolant at a total coolant flow rate and an initial coolant temperature. A flow field plate defines peripheral flow channels and active area flow channels through which coolant flows. The flow field plate is adapted to be positioned in a fuel cell stack between individual fuel cells. A total coolant flow provided to the common input divides into a bypass flow that flows through the peripheral flow channels and an active area flow that flows through the active area flow channels. The bypass flow combines with the active area flow to emerge from the common output with an output coolant temperature. The fuel cell temperature-measuring system includes a temperature sensor that measures the output coolant temperature from the common output. Finally, a temperature estimator estimates an active area coolant temperature from the output coolant temperature.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 5, 2017Publication date: November 8, 2018Inventors: DANIEL W. SMITH, JUN CAI, ANDREW J. MASLYN

Patent number: 10069160Abstract: A fuel cell voltage recovery system includes a fuel cell stack having a fuel cell stack voltage between fuel cell stack terminals which is at a first voltage during normal fuel cell operation. The system also includes a high voltage electrical system operating at a first DC operating voltage that is generally higher than the first voltage of the fuel cell stack. A boost converter in electrical connection with the fuel cell stack and the high voltage electrical system operates in a normal control mode to transfer electrical power from the fuel cell stack to the high voltage electrical system through regulation and control of average stack output current (boost input current) during normal fuel cell operation. The boost converter can also operate in a voltage control mode to lower the fuel cell stack voltage to a second voltage that is lower than the first voltage. A FCS controller controls the operation of the boost converter.Type: GrantFiled: July 27, 2016Date of Patent: September 4, 2018Assignee: GM GLOBAL TECHNOLOGY OPERATIONS LLCInventors: Joseph Berg, Jun Cai, Sergio E.
