  • Publication number: 20210294653
Abstract: Techniques for secure and efficient interfacing with a cloud computing service are described. In an embodiment, a cloud computing management service is programmed or configured to communicate with a cloud computing service. The cloud computing management service can be accessed by software engineers that are looking to deploy a software instance to a computing device of the cloud computing service. Thus, the cloud computing management service acts as an intermediary layer in front of the cloud computing service. In an embodiment, the cloud computing management service may store one or more frequently-used system parameters for deployment of software instances. The parameters conform to company's security protocols, compliance protocols, and/or other standards.

  • Publication number: 20210086002
Abstract: An automatic descent control device includes a line configured to be attached to a load. A line system retracts slack from the line when the line is not loaded and extends the line when the line is loaded. At least one braking system provides a braking force when the line is loaded so as to control extension of the line and a descent rate of the load. The at least one braking system is operable in at least two configurations, a first configuration that the at least one braking system lowers the load at a first descent rate, and a second configuration that the at least one braking system lowers or locks the load at a second descent rate. • Publication number: 20200249496
Abstract: Safety glasses have two magnets located near temple arm hinges so that surfaces of both magnets become coplanar when the temple arm pieces close. The magnets provide two separated areas of coupling that allow the safety glasses to adhere to a surface and stay in place when jarring forces are present. The safety glasses can be stored on magnetically active surfaces or other surfaces with adaptive tabs and may be kept close to where they will be used and in a visible location as a safety reminder or safe location to protect the safety glasses.
