  • Patent number: 11030781
Abstract: Systems and methods for aggregating and storing different types of data, and generating interactive user interfaces for analyzing the stored data. In some embodiments, entity data is received for a plurality of entities from one or more data sources, and used to determine attribute values for the entities for one or more given time periods. The plurality of entities may be categorized into one or more entity groups, and aggregate attribute values may be generated based upon the entity groups. A first interactive user interface is generated displaying the one or more entity groups in association with the aggregated attribute values associated with the entity group. In response to a received indication of a user selection of an entity group, a second interactive user interface is generated displaying the one or more entities associated with the selected entity group, each entity displayed in association with the attribute values associated with the entity.

  • Patent number: 11027498
Abstract: A ultrasonic welding method of joining dissimilar-material workpieces, such as sheet materials, and the joined components formed thereby. The method includes applying ultrasonic energy to a thermoplastic piece to fill a hole of a dissimilar piece to form a weld point that is made up with polymer from the thermoplastic piece. In general, the geometry of the thermoplastic piece is not altered during the process. The dissimilar piece generally has a higher melting temperate and can be metal, thermoset polymers, or other thermoplastic material. The welded pieces can be arranged in a lap, laminate, or double lap configuration. In some embodiments, the hole of the dissimilar sheet material includes undercut features that improve the mechanical interlock between the dissimilar pieces. In some embodiments, the weld point has a mushroom cap to improve mechanical interlock.

  • Publication number: 20210133304
Abstract: A gamified challenge is presented to a user communicating with a website when the user is suspected of being a bot. The gamified challenge consists of a dynamic sequence of animated geometric objects displayed in an order that the user has to interact with within an allotted amount of time. The complexity of the gamified challenge increases when the challenge is failed and when features extracted from the user session indicate a high level of suspicion that the gamified challenge is performed by a non-human user.

  • Publication number: 20210133075
Abstract: A system is described herein for mitigating slow process instances in a streaming application. The system includes a slow process instance candidate identifier configured to identify, based on a relative watermark latency, a set of slow process instance candidates from among a plurality of process instances that comprise the streaming application. The system further includes a set of filters configured to remove false positives from the set of slow process instance candidates. The filters account for window operations performed by the process instances as well as stabilization time needed for downstream process instances to stabilize after a slow upstream process instance is mitigated by a mitigation implementer, which may also be included in the system.

  • Patent number: 10989868
Abstract: An item such as a fabric-based item may have a layer of fabric such as a layer of woven fabric. The fabric layer may include warp and weft strands. The fabric may cover keys in a keyboard or may be used in forming other structures in the fabric-based item. Each key may have an illuminated key label. Portions of the fabric may be processed by pressing heated protrusions on a textured mold into polymer optical fibers in the fabric. The protrusions form corresponding light-scattering recesses in cladding portions of the optical fibers. Light-emitting diodes or other light sources may be coupled to respective end surfaces of the optical fibers. The light-emitting diodes emit light that is emitted from the thermally imprinted light-emitting regions formed by pressing the heated protrusions into the optical fibers.
