Patent number: 11621985Abstract: A multimedia player downloads chunks (parts of the segment file) during the download of a segment of a stream of segments of a low-latency stream. The first chunks of a segment may be downloaded while the segment is still being written to the CDN server. A chunk-based prediction adaptation logic uses throughput measurements on a chunk instead of a segment and specifically looks at bursts in a sliding window. This data is used to build a prediction of future throughput by applying linear adaptive filter algorithms that may rely on recursive least squares. This adaptation logic leads to very accurate bandwidth predictions and as a consequence, better user experience, compared to existing adaptation algorithms.Type: GrantFiled: June 1, 2021Date of Patent: April 4, 2023Assignee: BITMOVIN, INC.Inventors: Abdelhak Bentaleb, Martin Fillafer, Daniel Weinberger

Patent number: 11198522Abstract: A spray containment system for a wing-body section includes a forward module, a center module, and an aft module. The forward module has a forward closeout panel configured to engage a forward end of a fuselage center section of the wing-body section. The center module has opposing module side panels each configured to engage a wing lower surface of a wing of the wing-body section. The aft module has an aft closeout panel configured to engage an aft end of the fuselage center section. The forward module and the aft module are independently movable and are configured to be assembled around the wing-body section to define an internal environment that is sealed from an external environment for containing contaminants including at least one of vapors, overspray, and liquids generated during application of one or more of coatings, sealants, and adhesives to localized areas of the wing-body section.Type: GrantFiled: February 14, 2020Date of Patent: December 14, 2021Assignee: The Boeing CompanyInventors: Nikolas Mindock, Brent Kauffman, Agustin Lopez, III, Aleksandr Polyakov, Jeffrey Ullerich, Daniel Weinberg

Patent number: 11032346Abstract: A client configured to retrieve a live-stream media content is shown. The client is configured to receive from a live-streaming server a media presentation description (MPD) describing live-stream media content composed of a sequence of segments and an information on a current segment of the sequence of segments. The client is further configured to commence retrieving the live-stream media content from the live-streaming server from a predetermined segment of the sequence of segments onwards, which the client determined based on the information.Type: GrantFiled: August 8, 2017Date of Patent: June 8, 2021Assignee: bitmovin GmbHInventors: Christopher Mueller, Reinhard Grandl, Daniel Weinberger

Patent number: 10503453Abstract: One or more embodiments facilitate a user experience in which a user can conveniently switch between different applications on a mobile device for capturing and interacting with digital content. For example, a content navigation system can identify an application installed on a mobile device having content capturing functionality. In addition, the content navigation system can detect that a graphical user interface associated with the identified content capturing application is displayed via a touch screen on the mobile device. Further, based on detecting that the graphical user interface associated with the content capturing application is displayed, the content navigation system can overlay a graphical element associated with a content management application over the graphical user interface. The graphical element can facilitate convenient switching between different applications on the mobile device.Type: GrantFiled: December 22, 2014Date of Patent: December 10, 2019Assignee: Dropbox, Inc.Inventors: Daniel Weinberg, Anthony Grue
