  • Publication number: 20230264565
Abstract: An exhaust duct of a fuel cell exhaust system includes a convolute duct, a resonator coupled to and in fluid communication with the convolute duct, a mid-duct coupled to and in fluid communication with the resonator, and a tail duct coupled to and in fluid communication with the mid-duct, the tail duct comprising a lower duct and an upper duct. The upper duct includes an incline duct, a transition duct, a decline duct, and a hydrogen sensor having a portion positioned within the transition duct. A first portion of an exhaust is diverted to the lower duct and a second portion of the exhaust is diverted to the upper duct and measured by the hydrogen sensor to determine hydrogen content of the exhaust.

  • Publication number: 20190247788
Abstract: Block apparatus for use with oxidizers are disclosed. An example apparatus includes a converter including a block having a plurality of channels extending therethrough. The channels define a cellular pattern including at least one central channel and a plurality of surrounding channels. Protrusions extend into the channels from respective inner surfaces of the channels. The inner surfaces are defined by respective peripheral walls.

  • Patent number: 10337378
Abstract: Apparatus and methods are disclosed to improved block channel geometries and arrangements of thermal oxidizers. One described example apparatus includes a block of a converter having a plurality of channels defining interior walls, which define a cellular pattern in a cross-sectional view of the block. The pattern comprises regular sub-patterns consisting of at least one central channel, which is proximate an interior of the block, and a plurality of surrounding channels.
