Publication number: 20250134406Abstract: An intracranial pressure measurement device has a first plate abutting a patient's dura mater and displaced from a second plate abutting an endocranial surface of the patient's skull. The displacement of the first plate and second plate during elevated intracranial pressures are indicated visually on the device and visible through, e.g., X-ray imaging. This allows the intracranial pressure to be correlated to the mechanical displacement of the first plate from the second plate.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 31, 2023Publication date: May 1, 2025Inventors: Daniel Cho, Jessica Blum, John Puccinelli, James Trevathan, Karina Buttram, Caroline Craig, Vivian Woo, Joseph Ho, Adrienne Simpson, Michael DelSignore, Lucas Cates, Ipek Naz Kadioglu

Publication number: 20200304313Abstract: The present approach relates to techniques for facilitating acquisition of electronic signatures (e-signatures) and/or acknowledgements in the context of electronic forms or documents. In one aspect, a designer may be used to configure tasks corresponding to signature or acknowledgment events that may be added to a person's to-do list or task management application or portal. Interaction with the task to complete the task may then be in accordance with the guidance programmed by the designer, such as to acquire a signature or acknowledgment. In certain aspects, the signature or acknowledgement tasks may be configured for display and completion on a mobile device (e.g., a handheld device such as a phone or tablet computer).Type: ApplicationFiled: March 19, 2019Publication date: September 24, 2020Inventors: Debajit Choudhury, Venkata Naveen Karlapudi, Nikhil Kumar Gupta, Leena Gian Dudani, Allan Daniel Woo Kwan

Patent number: 8604852Abstract: In an integrated circuit that provides a clock signal, an asymmetric frequency-locked loop (AFLL) includes a first digitally controlled oscillator (DCO) that outputs a first signal having a first fundamental frequency, and a second DCO that outputs a second signal having a second fundamental frequency that is less than the first fundamental frequency. Moreover, the AFLL includes control logic that selects one of the first DCO and the second DCO based on an instantaneous value of a power-supply voltage and an average power-supply voltage so that an impact of power-supply voltage variations on a time-critical path in the integrated circuit is reduced. For example, the control logic may select the first DCO if the instantaneous value of the power-supply voltage is greater than the average power-supply voltage; otherwise, the control logic may select the second DCO.Type: GrantFiled: September 11, 2012Date of Patent: December 10, 2013Assignee: Oracle International CorporationInventors: Sebastian Turullols, Changku Hwang, Daniel Woo, Yifan YangGong

Patent number: 7013729Abstract: A highly sensitive accelerometer for determining the acceleration of a structure includes a mass within a housing suspended by opposing support members. The support members are alternately wound around a pair of fixed mandrels and the mass in a push pull arrangement. At least a portion of one of the support members comprises a transducer capable measuring the displacement of the mass within the housing. An embodiment of the invention employs optical fiber coils as the support members for use in interferometric sensing processes. Arrays of such interferometer based accelerometers may be multiplexed using known techniques.Type: GrantFiled: September 2, 2004Date of Patent: March 21, 2006Assignee: Weatherford/Lamb, Inc.Inventors: Sverre Knudsen, Arne Berg, James R. Publication number: 20050195687Abstract: A pressure compensated hydrophone for measuring dynamic pressures is disclosed. The hydrophone includes a compliant hollow mandrel with a single optical fiber coiled around at least a portion of the mandrel. The mandrel further includes at least one pressure relief valve for compensating for changes in hydrostatic pressure. The pressure relief valve includes a micro-hole, which allows hydrostatic pressures or low frequency pressure events to couple into the interior of the mandrel to provide compensation against such pressure. Higher frequencies pressure events of interest do not couple through the micro-hole and therefore only act only on the exterior of the mandrel, allowing for their detection. Because (quasi) hydrostatic events are compensated for, the mandrel may be made particularly compliant, rendering the singular fiber optic coil particularly sensitive to the detection of the higher frequency signals of interest.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 19, 2005Publication date: September 8, 2005Inventor: Daniel Woo
