  • Patent number: 9811130
Abstract: A system to control a power distribution system includes a system controller configured to determine an allocation of power during a first time period for each of a plurality of subsystems. The system also includes a subsystem controller communicatively coupled to the system controller. The subsystem controller is associated with a device and configured to receive power allocation data indicating the allocation of power for the device from the system controller. The subsystem controller is further configured to receive operation request data indicating a request to operate the device and produce a model operation of the device for a second time period based on the power allocation data, the operation request data, and a cost-utility function associated with the device. The subsystem controller is also configured to communicate, to the system controller, projected power demand data associated with the modeled operation of the device during the second time period.

  • Publication number: 20070081663
Abstract: This invention involves time-scale modification of audio signals. In this invention the input audio signal is separated into two frequency bands using a complementary IIR filter bank. Time-scale modification is applied separately to the individual frequency bands. The thus modified signals are recombined for output.

  • Publication number: 20070083377
Abstract: This invention involves time-scale modification of audio signals. In this invention the input audio signal is separated into a plurality of frequency bands selected according to a Bark scale where each frequency band has an extent dependent upon human frequency perception via a filter bank. Time-scale modification is applied separately to the individual frequency bands. The thus modified signals are recombined for output.

  • Publication number: 20050132870
Abstract: A time scale modification method employs separate bands obtained through an analysis polyphase filter bank with separate time-scale modification processing for the bands. The outputs are combined using a synthesis filter bank. Some constraints are imposed on the time-scale modification processing, such a limitation of the range of overlap adjustment values for bands other than the greatest energy band, to eliminate noise due to aliasing and inter-channel phase mismatch. This invention produces output quality considerably higher than conventional time-domain time-scale modification methods for general music signals with computational requirements comparable to those of conventional time-domain time-scale modification methods.
