Publication number: 20230082019Abstract: Systems and methods for monitoring brain health include determining baseline health of a subject through clinical assessment. A first plurality of observables of the subject across a period of time, comprising a plurality of time intervals, is obtained. Also obtained is a second plurality of observables of the subject across the period. The first and second observables are each one of sensor measurements, measurements of one or more analytes, physiological measurements, and subjective observations. For each time interval, at one least observable in the first plurality of observables and in the second plurality of observables taken during the interval is used to compute a respective brain health index value set for the subject comprising two or more of a motor skill, cognitive skill, mood, and sleep status. A brain health trajectory is determined through comparison of these value sets to the baseline health of the subject at each time interval.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 25, 2022Publication date: March 16, 2023Applicant: Early Signal, LLCInventor: Daniela Brunner

Publication number: 20190077874Abstract: The treatment or prophylaxis of Tuberous Sclerosis Complex (“TSC”) and conditions associated with TSC is disclosed. Treatments involve the administration of one or more TLR4 inhibitors to patients with TSC. Such administration may also treat or forestall conditions associated with TSC, including epilepsy and lymphangioleiomyomatosis.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 13, 2018Publication date: March 14, 2019Inventor: Daniela BRUNNER

Publication number: 20170249434Abstract: Real-time and individualized disease monitoring is central to rapidly evolving medical sciences and technologies, but for the vast majority of patients, disease progression and treatment are monitored only in an irregular and discontinuous fashion. Consequently, disease progression and relapse are often allowed to proceed too far before they are detected, compromising the possibility of any effective treatment. For one patient, this can mean becoming refractory to the few early drug treatments that are available; for another, missing early detection may be deadly. This invention provides a method for the detection of early signals of disease and recovery thereof comprising a universal yet personalized health-monitoring solution using cell phones or other wearable smart device data that generate extensive real-time data. The invention further provides a system and method to provide answers to a variety of questions related to the patient health status and health trajectory.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 25, 2017Publication date: August 31, 2017Inventor: Daniela Brunner

Patent number: 7882135Abstract: A system and method used to assess animal behavior includes a module having sensors that collects a variety of physical and biological data from a test subject. Interpretation of the data is provided to assess the test subject's behavior, neurology, biochemistry and physiology. The module is useful in observing the effects of a drug on the test animal and providing information on the drug's signature. Another advantage is the module's portability that allows it to be used in standard laboratory cages. This portability allows the animal to be tested in its own habitat, that can reduce any erroneous data due to stressing the animal when removed to a test cage. Additionally, the module's design allows for parallel data collection and interpretation from several laboratory animals undergoing different experiments. Multi-dimensional modeling of the test subject based the system's interpretation of the data allows pattern recognition of the drug signature, and predictive drug analysis.Type: GrantFiled: July 31, 2009Date of Patent: February 1, 2011Assignee: Psychogenics, Inc.Inventors: Daniela Brunner, Vijay Gondhalekar, Emer Leahy, David LaRose, William P.
