Date of Patent: March 21, 2006
    Inventor: Danilo L. Lambino
  • Publication number: 20040185730
Abstract: A cleansing implement including: a first outer layer; a second outer layer; and an inner layer disposed and retained between the outer layers, wherein at least one of the outer layers is water permeable, and the inner layer includes means for expanding the implement to at least about 1.5 times its original height is disclosed.

  • Patent number: 6646011
Abstract: The present invention relates to insect repellant compositions containing, based upon the total weight of the composition, from about 6 to about 30 percent by weight of insect repellant active material having functionality selected from ester, amide, urethane or combinations thereof; from about 5 to about 30 percent by weight of alcohol, and from about 1 to about 10 percent by weight of nonionic surfactant. The compositions of the invention exhibit reduced rates of degradation of the active material in solution and are less drying and irritating to sensitive skin.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 3, 1998
Date of Patent: November 11, 2003
Assignee: Johnson & Johnson Consumer Companies, Inc.
Inventors: Danilo L. Lambino, Kennie U. Dee, Susan M. Niemiec
  • Patent number: 6514919
Abstract: Cleansing bar compositions that are efficient and have excellent foam properties and low ocular and skin irritation are disclosed. The compositions include dibenzylidene sorbitol as a gelling agent, a glycol solvent, and a combination of anionic, amphoteric, and nonionic surfactants to provide detergency. The compositions may contain hydroxypropyl cellulose as a solidifying synergist.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 21, 2000
Date of Patent: February 4, 2003
Assignee: Johnson & Johnson Consumer Companies, Inc.

  • Patent number: 5962382
Abstract: The present invention relates to a clear colorless soap bar with superior mildness, lathering and discoloration resistance. The clear colorless soap consists of a blend of C12-C18 fatty acids neutralized with sodium hydroxide (NaOH) and triethanolamine (TEA). Excess TEA acts as a co-solvent and is responsible for clarity of the soap bar. The bar also contains a branched chain acid such as isostearic acid to break up crystallinity and add to product clarity. Low color and color stability are obtained by removing unsaturated fatty acids, and by the use of antioxidants (BHT and Vitamin E). Low levels of C6 to C10 fatty acids provide exceptional mildness.
