  • Patent number: 7431120
Abstract: A method for operating vehicles, with which the state of the driver's health is determined and a corresponding signal is sent, provides continuously activatable systems in the vehicle, and thus the physical state of the driver and the other passengers is positively influenced and/or any stress that arises is counteracted.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 11, 2006
Date of Patent: October 7, 2008
    Assignee: Bayerische Motoren Werke Aktiengesellschaft
Inventors: Dietger Pollehn, Maximilian Fuchs, Danny Borke
  • Patent number: 7430467
Abstract: A regulating method is provided for a motor vehicle seat. According to the method, the ideal seat position data associated with a vehicle user is recorded in a seat data memory. The respective vehicle user is identified by use of an identification device, and the ideal seat position data of the user is associated therewith. The actual seat position is determined by use of a stereoscopic optical element with an associated image data computer. The seat adjustments are carried out in such a way that the actual seat position corresponds at least approximately to the ideal seat position.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 25, 2006
Date of Patent: September 30, 2008
    Assignee: Bayerische Motoren Werke Aktiengesellschaft
    Inventor: Danny Borke
  • Patent number: 7255161
Abstract: A method for controlling a heating and air conditioning system equipped with actuators, preferably vents, is provided. Interior conditions are detected by an interior sensing system, with at least the seat occupancy with occupants being automatically recognized by an object recognition system on the basis of the data supplied by the interior sensing system. An optimized adjustment of the heating and air conditioning system to the seat occupancy is automatically performed as a function of the recognized seat occupancy.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 24, 2004
Date of Patent: August 14, 2007
    Assignee: Bayerische Motoren Werke Aktiengesellschaft
Inventors: Stephan Durach, Danny Borke, Alexander Augst

  • Patent number: 7136734
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for controlling a seat adjustment by means of a passenger compartment camera system, with which images of at least one portion of an individual sitting on a vehicle seat are recorded, and by means of a control unit, via which at least one type of movement of the individual sitting on the vehicle seat is identified from a series of images. The identified type of movement is compared with types of movement already stored in the control unit. When a stored type of movement is identified, a seat adjustment is carried out that is assigned to this type of movement.

  • Publication number: 20060193475
Abstract: A method for signing a dataset in a public key system is provided. An unsigned dataset is produced. The data set receives a first signature by producing a first signature using a first secret or private key from a pair of keys associated with an authorized person, the pair of keys comprising a public and secret key. The dataset is checked to see if the dataset is provided with the first signature or with other signatures of authorized persons. At least the dataset is provided with a second signature from a second authorized person by producing a third signature using the secret point if the dataset has already been signed by a predetermined number of authorized persons. A signed dataset is produced, the data set comprising at least the unsigned dataset and the third signature produced using the secret or private key of the signature point.
