Abstract: A pin-engaging drawbar and lock plate assembly is designed to mount and stabilize in the drawbar of a trailer hitch or alternative trailer and accessory hitch or receiver assembly. In one embodiment the pin-engaging drawbar and lock plate assembly includes a bolt extending into the drawbar, typically having the bolt head secured to a lock plate positioned beneath a locking pin extending transversely through the receiver and the drawbar. An angle brace is fixed to the lock plate and engages the locking pin, and the locking pin openings are typically vertically elliptical or elongated in the drawbar to facilitate rotating a nut on the extending threaded end of the bolt and forcing the angle brace against the locking pin, thus tightening the drawbar against the hitch receiver.

The pin-engaging drawbar wedge includes a bolt extending into the drawbar and in one embodiment, having the bolt head secured to a wedge positioned beneath the locking pin extending transversely through the receiver and the drawbar. Alternatively, the bolt threads into a nut secured to the wedge. The wedge bevel face or surface engages the locking pin and the locking pin openings are typically elliptical or elongated in the drawbar, to facilitate rotating the bolt or nut and forcing the wedge against the locking pin, thus tightening the drawbar against the hitch receiver. In another embodiment the bolt extends through the drawbar and a slotted guide plate to a lock plate and rotating the nut forces the lock plate against the locking pin and the guide plate and tightens the drawbar against the hitch receiver.

Abstract: A stabilizing arm for stabilizing and securing an all-terrain vehicle in the bed of a pickup truck, which stabilizing arm includes in a preferred adjustable embodiment, a support typically selectively pivotally or rotatably and slidably disposed in a support sleeve mounted on a drawbar typically fitted to a conventional truck trailer hitch. A support arm projects from the top end of the support and terminates in a fixed or pivotable ball coupler designed to couple to an ATV ball attached to the all-terrain vehicle. In a preferred embodiment a clamp is threaded in the typically box tubing support sleeve and selectively engages the box tubing support for securing the support in non-sliding relationship with respect to the support sleeve.
