  • Publication number: 20110125705
Abstract: A mapping is received and stored that maps elements of a data warehouse to types of a type system implemented by a data source. Program code is generated that performs a transform of data retrieved from a data source based on the mapping. Generation of the program code may include generating program code for performing a dimension transform based on the mapping, generating program code for performing a fact transform based on the mapping, and generating program code for performing an outrigger transform based on the mapping. The generated program code may then be executed to transform the data retrieved from the data source prior to loading into the data warehouse.

  • Publication number: 20100215445
Abstract: A cutting tool has a tool body provided with at least one insert pocket in which a cutting insert is retained. A device for adjusting a position of the cutting insert within the insert pocket is also provided. A cavity adjacent the insert pocket accommodates an adjustment wedge having a forward surface in sliding contact with a minor side surface of the cutting insert and an adjustment screw threadingly engaged with a female threaded section of the adjustment wedge. The adjustment screw is constrained to remain in its position in the cavity, although rotation of the adjustment screw about its axis results in a sliding motion of the adjustment wedge relative to the cavity and a sliding motion of the forward surface relative to the minor side surface, which translates to displacement of the cutting insert in a direction parallel to a base surface of the insert pocket.

  • Publication number: 20100104384
Abstract: A cutting tool includes at least one cutting portion, having an insert pocket, releasably retaining a single-sided cutting insert therein. The cutting portion has a tangential screwing element to clamp the cutting insert in the insert pocket. The screwing element, which comprises a screw, allows releasing and clamping of the cutting insert without having to completely remove the screwing element from the insert pocket. The cutting insert has a top surface, a bottom surface and a peripheral side surface; a recess is formed in the bottom surface. The screwing element is inserted into the recess via the bottom surface. Upon fastening of the screw, a protruding portion of the screwing element clamps the cutting insert in its insert pocket. The cutting insert and protruding portion may have respective geometries allowing them to abut one another at at least two distinct abutment sub-regions.

  • Publication number: 20100037219
Abstract: A method, system, and computer program product for autonomously completing a web form based on preferences and conditions established by a user. A predictive logic autonomously completes a web form by determining a requested data type of one or more form objects in the web form. The predictive logic determines a form preference corresponding to an identifier of a selected form object and selects or inserts data of the form preference into the form object. The form preference may be predefined by a user and stored within a form preference database which contains data selections and/or insertions for specific form objects for web forms. The form preference may also specify conditions for triggering events or actions of a web browser. The predictive logic monitors user insertions of a web form and prompts a user to define additional form preferences.

  • Patent number: 7377730
Abstract: A drill in which a cutting head is releasably mounted on a tool shank. The cutting head is axially supported by the tool shank at four spaced apart axial support regions on shank support surfaces.

  • Patent number: 7234900
Abstract: A shank of a milling cutter can be somewhat elastic. As a result, during plunging down into a workpiece the milling cutter will not plunge in a true axially downward direction and will form a slanted wall in the workpiece. A milling cutting insert is provided which is capable of “straightening out” the slanted wall. The cutting insert has a rear cutting edge which removes material when the milling cutter is moved axially upwardly.

  • Publication number: 20070058865
Abstract: A system and methods for the efficient segmentation of globally optimal surfaces representing object boundaries in volumetric datasets is provided. An optical surface detection system and methods are provided that are capable of simultaneously detecting multiple interacting surfaces in which the optimality is controlled by the cost functions designed for individual surfaces and by several geometric constraints defining the surface smoothness and interrelations.

  • Publication number: 20050102611
Abstract: A process for creating server-driven dynamic web content without the use of browser add-ins or plug-in programs. Rather than relying on a plug-in on the browser side, the server uses an independent and persistent HTTP connection to stream commands to the browser that result in dynamic updates of the displayed web page. When a browser requests a page that will be dynamically updated from the server side, the server makes an HTTP reply that results in the browser making at least two HTTP requests. The first request results in the server providing a display page. The second request establishes an independent HTTP connection that serves as a control stream for the server to send commands to the browser. The commands are implemented through the document object model of the browser and result in the dynamic updating of the display page.
