  • Patent number: 5569383
Abstract: A self-cleaning pressure filter system comprises a housing having an unfiltered liquid inlet and a filtered liquid outlet, a filter element of substantially constant cross section having an interior communicating with the unfiltered liquid inlet and an exterior communicating with the filtered liquid outlet for filtering solids from the liquid and wherein filtered out solids are left in the interior of the filtered element. A cleaning unit is simultaneously moved both axially and rotatively along the interior of the filter element and carries at least one cleaning blade movable in a spiral path along the interior face of the filter element for removing solids accumulated thereon.

  • Patent number: 5087365
Abstract: A self-cleaning filter comprises a filter element and a housing. A cleaning unit, movable with respect to the filter element, removes filtered-out solids from the upstream face of the filter element. A movable cleaning element is engagable with the filter element. Indexing structure removes the cleaning element from the filter element for removing accumulated solids from the cleaning element while a second cleaning element engages the filter element for cleaning same in substitution for the first cleaning element.

  • Patent number: 4884452
Abstract: A pressure monitoring device isolator includes an annular member axially interposable in a pipeline for measuring the pressure of fluid in the pipeline. The annular member has an annular sensing fluid chamber, for a pressure sensing fluid, and an annular seal member separating the annular chamber from a central pipeline fluid passage. An opening in the outer periphery of the annular member is adapted to receive a pressure monitoring device. A sensing fluid passage extends radially inward from the pressure monitoring device opening. The sensing fluid passage is of substantially smaller volume than the sensing fluid chamber and the pressure monitoring device opening. A valve passage extends in from the periphery of the annular member to the annular sensing fluid chamber, meeting the sensing fluid passage at an acute angle. The valve passage has radially outer, middle and inner portions of progressively smaller cross sectional area. The inner portion joins the middle portion at an outward facing valve seat.

  • Patent number: 3976577
Abstract: Filter assembly, particularly for handling liquids at elevated temperatures. There is disclosed a filter assembly wherein the headers supplying filter liquid to the filter units and receiving filtrate therefrom are arranged in a first zone, all the filter units are arranged in a second zone, and at least some of the actuators for the backwash controlling valves extend outwardly of and away from both of said zones to avoid the heat associated with said zones. A heat shield may then be positioned between said valve actuators and the rest of the filter assembly, which heat shield may, if desired, be one wall of a heat retaining box enclosing the headers and filter cylinders.
