  • Publication number: 20020021900
Abstract: The present invention relates to a leader card with protrusions, which are extended in the counter direction with respect to the transport direction of the leader card with the film attached thereto, said protrusions being provided with traction sections which can be brought into engagement with holes in the leading end of the film. Additionally, the invention relates to an attaching and a detaching device to attach and to detach, respectively, the leader card to and from the film.

  • Patent number: 5510872
Abstract: The level of chemical treatment baths is automatically, compensated, in film developing machines. A vessel (90) contains a supply of water which is directed by a pump (50) and a pipeline (51) through a manifold (7) to baths (11, 12, 13, 14, 15) by way of feed pipelines (71, 72, 73, 74, 75). Each pipeline is controlled by respective solenoid valve (61, 62, 63, 64, 65) controlled to operate simultaneously with the pump (50) by way of an electronic control unit (41) in receipt of signals relayed from sensors (21, 22, 23, 24, 25) designed to detect a drop in the level of the solutions in the baths (11, 12, 13, 14, 15). The feed outlets of the pipelines (71, 72, 73, 74 75) discharge above the level of the baths (11, 12, 13, 14, 15) so as to prevent any possibility of reflux.

  • Patent number: 5495311
Abstract: A device for automatically loading a roll of film into a developing machine includes an external casing and a sliding drawer set in motion by a drive. The drawer has a longitudinal gap. A shuttle housing the roll of film, a product bar code reader, elements by which the shuttle is guided, respectively, in a longitudinal direction and a transverse direction, and a cutter by which the end of the film is trimmed square, are disposed to one side of the gap. A sheath accommodating the film leader is disposed on the other side of the gap. The casing also houses a vertical baffle supporting reels of adhesive tape. As the table slides into the casing, the film is automatically trimmed, brought into correct matching association with the leader and then spliced by portions of adhesive tape applied to both sides of the film and the leader.

  • Patent number: 4870815
Abstract: The invention concerns a spinning machine having a spindle with which to rotate a yarn package, a winding apparatus to wind the yarn on the package, and drafting rolls to feed the yarn to the winding apparatus. According to the disclosed method, the winding down of the yarn on the package is achieved by reversing the rotation of the spindle relative to the spinning direction. according to the disclosed device, a spacer ring is employed which is fixed to the spindle, and which has an upper and a lower hollow, a protruding edge, and substantially sharp edges which aid in cutting the yarn.

  • Patent number: 4682466
Abstract: Device (10) to doff yarn packages on ring spinning machines (12) which is able to doff the yarn packages (15) automatically and to replace them with empty tubes (16), and which comprises a movable gripper (17), a station (20) to engage tubes and means (31) to remove yarn packages, the gripper (17) comprising an element (25) to engage yarn packages and an element (26) to engage tubes and being able to rotate about a horizontal shaft (24) so as to bring one or the other engagement element (25-26) to cooperate with the spindle shaft (23) momentarily, the gripper (17) being able to move vertically and normally staying in a position (17B) where it does not interfere with the zone of the spindle (13).

  • Patent number: 4651515
Abstract: A process for replacing spent roving packages with new roving packages, with automatic splicing and reattachment of the rovings, on machines to spin carded wool is disclosed. The new roving package is removed from a conveyor and brought to a waiting position, where the end of the new roving is manually placed in a gripper. When the old roving package is almost exhausted, the spindle of the spinning machine is stopped and the roving is sheared. The end of the roving still attached to the spinning machine is retained with an aspirator. The new roving package is then brought to the working position, causing the automatic discharge of the spent roving package, and the gripper brings the new roving to the aspiration site causing the intermingling of the fibers of the two rovings. The spindles are restarted and the spliced segments of the roving receives a false twist and subsequent real twists.
