Abstract: An asset such as a machine equipped with sensors which are connected to a local computer operative to process the sensor signals and transmit current processed signals to a remote central computer running an EPR system. The asset can also be marked with a QR code which may be scanned by a cell phone or mobile computer to connect to a website with a connection to the remote central computer and store and provide information about the asset. The remote central computer comprises a database of information related to the asset and may contain an historic record of past asset sensor signals, service records for the asset, and the like. Based on the received signals and the database information, the central computer maintains information about the asset and determines the asset's needs for operation, maintenance and servicing and sends appropriate messages to service personnel and the like.
