  • Patent number: 9738417
Abstract: A tank rack apparatus provides a liquid storage tank. The tank includes a tank vessel having a top wall, bottom wall, side walls, and tank corners at the interface of each pair of adjacent side wall, each side wall defining a wall plane. A tank alcove provides a recess that is spaced away from a tank corner and inwardly from a tank wall plane. This inwardly spaced recess provides an alcove space having an alcove wall, an alcove top, and an alcove bottom. A sight glass gage is contained within the alcove space, below the alcove top and above the alcove bottom and inwardly of the tank wall plane. A screen occupies a position in or near the wall plane, the screen extending between a position next to alcove top and a position next to the alcove bottom.

  • Patent number: 9528333
Abstract: A method of transmitting a fluid into an oil well bore provides a frame supporting a vessel, the vessel having an interior, upper and lower end portions, a conically shaped side wall, and an outlet for discharging the fluid from the vessel. A viscous polymeric material is added to the vessel interior. A discharge pipe having a vertical section is placed below the vessel, the discharge pipe being in communication with the outlet. A positive displacement pump is contained within the discharge pipe. The pump transmits fluid from the outlet into the discharge pipe downstream of the vertical pipe section or pump. The fluid is selectively transmitted to either the vessel interior (for recirculating) or into the well. Air is added to the discharge flow line downstream of the pump.

Abstract: A method of transmitting a fluid into an oil well bore including the steps of providing a frame supporting a vessel, the vessel having an interior, upper and lower end portions, a conically shaped side wall, and an outlet for discharging the fluid from the vessel. Further including the steps of adding a viscous polymeric material to the vessel interior, placing a discharge pipe having a vertical section below the vessel wherein the discharge pipe is in communication with the outlet, placing a positive displacement pump within the discharge pipe wherein the pump transmits fluid from the outlet into the discharge pipe downstream of the vertical pipe section, and selectively transmitting fluid to either the vessel interior (for recirculating) or into the well. Air is added to the discharge flow line downstream of the pump. Preferably, the vessel contains a flexible bladder/bag that holds the material to be pumped.

  • Publication number: 20160332775
Abstract: A cargo rack for transferring loads between a marine vessel and an offshore marine platform (for example, oil and gas well drilling or production platform) provides a frame having a front, a rear, and upper and lower end portions. The lower end of the frame has a perimeter beam base, a raised floor and a pair of open-ended parallel fork tine tubes or sockets that communicate with the perimeter beam at the front and rear of the frame, preferably being structurally connected (e.g., welded) thereto. Openings in the perimeter beam base align with the forklift tine tubes or sockets. The frame includes a plurality of fixed side walls extending upwardly from the perimeter beam that include at least left and right side walls.

  • Publication number: 20140029872
Abstract: A bulk bag apparatus provides a bag having a bottom wall, a top portion, side walls and seams joining each side wall to another side wall, and bag corners at the seams. First and second lifting slings are rigged to the bag, the slings being spaced apart and not intersecting, preferably parallel to each other. A portion of the bottom wall of the bag is exposed in between the slings so that the bottom wall can be cut such as for discharging the contents of the bag. Bottom guides are provided on the bag bottom portion. Side guides are provided on the bag side walls. Corner guides are provided that each extend from the bottom wall to a side wall and across a bottom corner of the bag. Each guide provides an open ended channel that is receptive of a lifting sling. Each corner has an eyelet attached to the bag top portion at the corner.
