  • Publication number: 20070209801
Abstract: An apparatus for drawing down a fluid level in a wellbore. The apparatus comprises a first tubular disposed within the wellbore so that a wellbore annulus is formed. The apparatus further includes an annular nozzle operatively attached to the first tubular, and wherein the annular nozzle comprises: an annular adapter; and, a suction tube that extends from the annular member into an inner portion of the first tubular. The apparatus further comprises a second tubular concentrically disposed within the first tubular so that a micro annulus is formed therein. The apparatus may further contain a jetting device for delivering an injected medium injected from the micro annulus into the wellbore annulus, and a stabilizer that stabilizes the second tubular within the first tubular. A method of drawing down a fluid level is also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20070205020
Abstract: A method of drilling a well. The method includes calculating an estimated formation dip angle, wherein said estimated formation dip angle being based on offset well data, seismic data, core data, pressure data. Next, the method includes drilling a well with a logging while drilling means so that real time logging data is generated along with drilling data and calculating an instantaneous formation dip angle. Next, real time logging data is obtained and a target formation window is projected ahead of the well path that includes a top of formation and a bottom formation. The method includes monitoring the real time logging and drilling data and drilling the well through the target formation window. The method further includes changing the estimated instantaneous formation dip based on the obtained data and adjusting the target formation top and bottom window.

  • Patent number: 7013770
Abstract: An engine tilting tool used to tilt transversely mounted General Motors engines includes a tubular bracket member which receives a telescoping tubular member that is driven telescopically by means of a drive rod mounted on the bracket member. The bracket member is attached to the vehicle engine compartment in place of one end of the “dog bone” strut engine support and the telescoping tubular member is attached to the engine in place of the opposite end of the strut engine support. A nut is used to adjust the position of the telescoping tube relative to the tubular bracket member to thereby effect tilting of the engine.
