Abstract: A convention center is disclosed having generally permanent booths 10 to avoid the need to provide installation for every convention thereat. The convention center is equipped for exhibitors to upload presentations prior to the show, the presentation being viewable remotely before, during, and after the convention by a number of parties, thus allowing exhibitors to make educated decisions on attending a convention and a cost therefor. Identification can be provided to visitors so that booths can identify a class for the visitor, and that class can be utilized to provide an appropriately selected presentation to the visitor. The identification can be used to track foot traffic in the convention hall, thus promoting more accurate pricing of booths. The identification can also be used as a navigation aid to the visitor.

Abstract: Systems, devices, and methods for providing guidance to a user or visitor to an environment to enable the visitor to visit a plurality of locations based on a predetermined list of items are disclosed, the list being determined based on, for instance, items to be purchased from one or more stores, booths at a convention to be visited, or gallery displays at a museum to be viewed. Disclosed is a device carried on or by the visitor that is recognized by a location system stationed at the environment for determining where the visitor is, and a system such as a network at the environment for correlating the location of the visitor and the list to provide routing information to the visitor, such as by presenting the routing information on the device carried by the user or on displays located in the environment.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for brokering media content or segments created by media creators for use by licensees on a website or webpage of the licensees. The media creators upload their media to a hosting database via an account, and potential licensees bid for the right to be a licensee and to use the media on their webpage. The highest bidding licensee receives a permission authorizing the delivery and display of the media on their webpage, via the database recording the actual page views and deliveries for calculating a license fee to be paid to the host and to the media creators for use of the media thereon.

Abstract: A method of advertising a first web site on a second web site comprising with a fixed compensation based methodology. The method includes providing an upper level category and a lower level category, assigning at least one keyword to each of the categories, respectively assigning fixed amounts of compensation to the keywords that the first web sites will pay, assigning the second web site to any one of the categories, thereby defining a second web site category, associating the first web site with any of the keywords and with the amount of compensation assigned to such keywords, thereby defining at least one first web site category, in response to receiving a request from the second web site, determining the second web site category, and providing to the second web site a hyperlink to the first web site.

Abstract: A method of predicting the search needs of a computerized database search user. The present invention uses a topical database comprising a plurality of categories. Each category is referenced and/or related to other categories. The present invention also uses a document database and an anticipated search term database wherein documents and anticipated search terms are correspondingly assigned to a respective topical category. Upon receiving an initial search term, the present invention locates the initial search term within the anticipated search term database and assigns the topical category of the matched anticipated search term to the initial search term. The present invention then retrieves document information for assigned documents of the topical category assigned to the initial search term as well as retrieves document information for assigned documents of any referenced and/or related topical categories to the initial search term topical category.
